Senior Artisan: Paint Application.

To support the team in achieving all Product, Process and System Quality targets (as per the Target Management Process. Ensure all quality records are retained and updated.

What awaits you?

Quality:

• To support the team in achieving all Product, Process and System Quality targets (as per the Target Management Process).
• Ensure all quality records are retained and updated.
• Mainly responsible for ensuring all electrical equipment in his supervision are maintained and in good working order.

Flexibility:

• Support the team in achieving the Flexibility Targets.
• Support the production team in achieving the Production volume, by quick response to breakdowns.
• Eliminating equipment failures by commissioning equipment prior to start-up.
• Fault finding on the integrated PLC control systems.
• To inform his supervisor of all equipment breakdowns.
• Provide training to operators and trainees on Safety and use of equipment.

Productivity:

• Support his manager and implement measures to achieve Budget, Headcount and Equipment Productivity targets.
• Eliminating electrical equipment failure by means of preventative maintenance.
• Familiarizing himself with the plant and equipment to ensure that first-hand information is always available.
• Optimize and improve equipment and systems to optimize product quality plant availability and reliability.

Scope of equipment responsibility:

• Air replacement plants (ARP’s).
• Motorized roller beds.
• Curing Ovens.
• Chain conveyors.
• Centrifugal and Axial flow fans.
• Centrifugal Pumps.
• Pneumatic Systems.
• Paint Pumps I Sealer Pumps.
• Paint Circulating Systems.
• Wax Application Equipment.
• HMI’s.
• SCADA.

What should you bring along?

• N6 Qualification in Mechanical, Electrical or Millwright.
• Trade Test is compulsory.
• Minimum 5 years’ professional experience in the field of electrical and mechanical maintenance, in an automated production environment.
• Other Qualifications include but are not limited to:

• • Technical, problem and analytical skills.
  • Thorough knowledge and experience on PLC systems.
  • Experience on AC frequency drives.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, OHS Act no 85 of 1993 and ISO 45001
