Where and how you can work

Alongside our global campuses, we also collaborate with talented contractors and freelancers from all over the world to help us achieve our crazy big goals. While we support flexible, remote-friendly ways of working, for this role we’re focusing on São Paulo, Brazil, so we can best support our teams and keep collaboration flowing.

This role is a 6-month engagement, working full-time hours.

What you’d be doing in this role

As Canva scales change continues to be part of our DNA. But we like to think that's all part of the fun. So this will give you the flavour of the type of things you'll be working on when you start, but this will likely evolve.

At the moment, this role is focused on:

• Leading the visual direction for brand, product, and performance campaigns that bring Canva to life in Brazil and Latin America.

• Designing simple, powerful storyboards for ads, hype reels, and social content.

• Pitching and presenting creative work to senior leaders and stakeholders with clarity and impact.

• Writing with the same thoughtfulness and creativity you bring to your design work.

• Collaborating with freelancers and vendors, giving clear creative feedback to elevate every output.

• Partnering with the Creative Director to manage timelines and deliver consistently excellent work.

You're probably a match if

• You have valuable experience (+6 years) in advertising or branding, with a strong portfolio of standout visual design work.

• You're confident across digital, brand, and performance marketing design—and you have a solid understanding of motion design.

• You’ve led creative projects from concept to execution, and you're excited to roll up your sleeves and get designing in Canva.

• You’re fluent in Figma, understand the intersection of product and marketing design, and can guide vision to execution.

• You communicate with clarity—visually and verbally—and you're comfortable presenting to creative and business stakeholders.

• You speak native-level Portuguese and strong English (English is part of our daily global collaboration).

• Bonus points if you’ve art-directed films or photoshoots before.

You’ll join the Brand Design team within LATAM Marketing, a close-knit crew of creatives passionate about crafting meaningful stories that resonate across the region. We move fast, think boldly, and collaborate deeply to shape Canva’s brand in Brazil and beyond.
