TOTEME is a fashion house rooted in Swedish sensibilities, modern aspirations and the notion of style. TOTEME was founded in 2014 by Elin Kling and Karl Lindman. From the atelier in Stockholm, we create collections spanning ready-to-wear, shoes, bags, accessories and jewelry.
The Role
TOTEME is looking for a Senior Art Director to join our Stockholm team on a full-time basis. In this role, you will lead the development and execution of creative concepts across multiple touchpoints. Working closely with the Brand team and cross-functional partners, you will ensure a cohesive and elevated visual identity across all channels.
You will balance conceptual thinking with hands-on execution, overseeing projects from ideation through delivery while contributing to the continued evolution of TOTEME’s visual language.
Responsibilities
Develop and maintain a cohesive visual language aligned with TOTEME’s brand identity and House codes, ensuring consistency and quality across all touchpoints, including campaigns, digital platforms, and motion direction
Lead the direction and execution of visual content across campaigns, retail, editorial, digital, and e-commerce platforms, overseeing the full creative process from concept to final delivery
Develop concepts and narratives that build long-term depth and dimension for the brand, strengthening connection with the client through considered storytelling and a distinct house perspective
Conduct visual research, develop moodboards, and shape narrative concepts that translate TOTEME’s Swedish roots and cultural context into clear visual storytelling
Collaborate closely with Creative, Marketing, E-commerce, and Communication teams to coordinate cross-functional workflows and ensure seamless execution across all channels
Drive creative excellence across the e-commerce experience by elevating seasonal launches, product storytelling, and online brand presentation through still and moving image, with a strong understanding of digital storytelling, customer journey, and conversion-driven communication
Mentor and develop the in-house studio team, fostering creative growth, collaboration, and a high standard of execution
Build and maintain relationships with external creatives, including photographers, stylists, and directors, to support and evolve TOTEME’s visual expression
Present creative concepts and visual direction to internal stakeholders with clarity and conviction
Manage timelines and budgets in collaboration with the Head of Production to ensure efficient and seamless project delivery
Stay informed on developments in fashion, art, design, and culture to continuously evolve and refine TOTEME’s creative perspective
Contribute to TOTEME’s social and environmental sustainability initiatives
Your Profile
Extensive experience as an Art Director within internationally recognized fashion or luxury brands
Strong portfolio demonstrating concept-driven work across campaigns and multiple channels
Excellent creative eye with a deep understanding of brand identity and visual systems
Proven ability to translate creative direction into clear, consistent, and elevated
outputs
Experience leading projects end-to-end across international, multi-market and
omnichannel environments
Strong understanding of the global digital landscape and contemporary visual culture
Established network of leading industry creatives
Ability to build and maintain strong creative partnerships
Strong skills in visual research, moodboarding, and storytelling
Confident communicator with the ability to present and influence stakeholders
Ability to guide and inspire creative collaborators
Highly organized with a pragmatic and solution-oriented approach
Comfortable managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment

This is a full-time position based at our Stockholm Head office, with a start date by agreement.
TOTEME has teams in Stockholm, London, New York, and Shanghai, as well as retail spaces across Europe, North America, and Asia.
