Job Description


I. Job Summary

Designs, develops and communicates specific strategic technical plans and intricate designs for information technology needs through new and existing applications, systems architecture, and applications infrastructure. Assumes responsibility for combining advanced technical expertise with best practices, and standard solutions in an effort to align information technology solutions with business strategy. Presents and communicates to all levels of the organization (technical and non-technical), oversees development and ensures the overall solution is appropriate.

II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Effectively applies and designs technology solutions to solve complex or ambiguous business problems.
  • Sets technical direction by achieving a strategic vision through tactical implementations.
  • Leads complicated technology and product assessments and proposes appropriate technologies.
  • Recommends the techniques/technologies that should be applied at the application level. Performs higher-level fit analysis for matching the right tool and pattern to the purpose.
  • Identifies and designs reusable approaches to apply across the enterprise and business partner relationships.
  • Presents, and evangelizes advanced technical processes effectively to all levels of the organization (including technical and non-technical audiences, Senior Leadership, VPs and C-level executives).
  • Coordinates with users and/or business analysts to determine requirements.
  • Contributes to application/project design and review sessions.
  • Ensures that the application design complies with the enterprise’s standard for technical, information application, and business architecture.
  • Resolves the implications and conflicts between the ideal application architecture and constraints imposed by other forces (e.g., availability, security, financial, accessibility, etc.).
  • Performs vendor management functions including but not limited to participating in the definition of contractual components, maximizing the benefit of the purchased solution, and providing input to and collaborating with the vendor team.
  • Leads capacity planning and capacity management activities.
  • Provides recommendations on architectural approach and higher-level design for projects.
  • Researches emerging trends and technologies to stay current within the field.


III. Qualifications - Must live and work in the US.

A. Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree (accredited) in Computer Science, MIS, or similar area of study, or in lieu of degree
  • Or High School Diploma or GED (accredited) and 4 years of relevant experience
  • 10+ years of previous experience, including four years of experience working as a Software Architect (in addition to education requirement)


B. Preferred Qualifications

  • In-depth technical knowledge of SAP Security Architecture.
  • Experience in security process design for access management (Birthright & Supplemental) in SAP.
  • Experience in role design and segregation of duty analysis in applications like SAP, SalesForce etc.
  • Knowledge of application configuration to enable Single Sign On capability with Identity providers like OKTA.
  • Experience in performing SAP compliance audits and license management.
  • Ability to resolve interpersonal and technical conflicts.
  • Knowledge and understanding of prototyping and methods of implementation.
  • Ability to provide input to business processes and translate them into technical requirements.

Office: This job primarily operates in a professional office environment and routinely requires the use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copy machines, etc.

Pay: The expected base pay range for this hybrid position is $145,00 - $160,000. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific salary offered to a successful candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s relevant experience, education, training, certifications, qualifications, and work location. This position is also elibible for a 15% AIP.
