Job Title - Senior Architect

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Architect to lead the architectural design and technical delivery of real-estate development and construction projects from concept through to hand-over. The successful candidate will manage design teams, ensure alignment with business objectives, maintain high quality standards, and ensure regulatory compliance in the UAE/GCC market.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the full architectural design process: conceptual design, schematic, detailed design, construction documentation and as-built drawings.

Establish and manage architectural standards, design guidelines and quality control procedures to ensure design intent and construction delivery align.

Coordinate multidisciplinary work: structural, MEP, landscape, interior design, etc. ensuring integration, constructability, cost-effectiveness and design value.

Oversee authority approvals, local building codes (UAE/GCC), permitting, submission of drawings, and liaison with regulatory bodies.

Conduct site visits for design verification, monitor construction quality, manage design-related queries and support site teams in design interpretation and hand-over.

Mentor and manage the design team: lead, coach and develop architects/draftsmen, managing deliverables, performance, and resource planning.

Provide design-lead input during procurement/tender stages: review drawings, specifications, value-engineering proposals, cost-impact assessments.

Prepare regular reports, presentations and design updates for senior leadership: project status, design milestones, risk issues, budget variances.

Drive continuous improvement: adopt new tools (BIM/Revit), emerging technologies, sustainable design practices, and benchmark with industry trends.

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelors or Masters degree in Architecture or related field; professional registration or accreditation preferred.

Minimum 8-12 years experience in architectural design and project delivery within the real-estate development or construction sector (UAE/GCC preferred).

Demonstrated portfolio of high-value residential, commercial, mixed-use or hospitality developments showing concept-to-completion experience.

Strong technical skills: proficient in AutoCAD, Revit/BIM, 3D modelling, drawings production, design specification and detailing.

Expertise in UAE/GCC regulatory frameworks, building codes, authority submission processes and construction contract documents.

Excellent communication, leadership and stakeholder-management skills: able to engage with clients, consultants, contractors and internal teams.

Commercially aware: understands cost implications, schedule constraints, value engineering and design-for-construction principles.

Fluent in English; Arabic proficiency is an advantage.
