A rapid research & development group within Analog Devices, Inc. is seeking a collaborative, self-driven software engineer with exceptional software development and optimization experience. The ideal candidate shouldpossessstrongfront-endand mobile application developmentskills. They should also have experience writing softwareworking withhardware devices. The candidate should be self-driven, willing to work as part of a team, and comfortable using critical-thinking skills and creativity to tackle ambiguous tasks.
Job specific tasks
Design, develop, andmaintainsoftware for biomedicaland diagnostic systems.
Develop GUIsfor various detection and analysis systems.
Developmobileapplications to interact with the hardware andAPIs
Implement andoptimizesoftware for real-time control and data acquisition.
Analyze customer and internal requirements and specifications and translate these into software requirements and designs.
Participate in the continuous improvement of software development processes and tools.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including hardware engineers, process engineers, biomedical engineers, and labteam.
Technical requirements
Experience developing visually appealing, user-friendlyapplications
Ability to develop iOS applications using Swift that are capable to use advanced hardware featuressuch as BLE, audio and video processing
Capability to developsimilar Androidapplications
Knowledge of Web APIs,stylingtechniques(including SASS)andrelatedinfrastructure
Understanding of UI/UX complexity and balancing it with technical feasibility
Ability to build cross-platform solutions
Good understanding of system design, hardwareand software architecture,hardwareand software integration
Building and scaling cloud applications using any of the following AWS, GCP or Azure
Practical skills in GitHub CI/CD workflows forMobile andWeb-Applications
Experience with building medical grade software or another regulatory environment
Non-technicalrequirements
Willingto live in Massachusetts and be physically present in the office
Adaptabilityand creativity in tackling complex software challenges with minimal supervision
Teamplayer – willing to collaborate with team members on multi-level problems and seek outappropriate supportwhen needed
Effectivelyable to provide daily updates on progress andaccurateestimates for time to completion of work
Drive to continuously improve as an individual to advance the team’s mission and success
Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree in Software Engineering;5+ years of experience
