The Application Engineer – OptimalPlus plays a critical role in delivering measurable value to customers by enabling effective use of OptimalPlus solutions. This position works closely with customers and internal partners to improve yield, quality, reliability, and operational efficiency in high‑volume manufacturing environments. While the role is an individual contributor position, success depends on strong collaboration, customer engagement, and technical expertise. The Application Engineer serves as the primary technical point of contact for assigned accounts and leads issue resolution, value realization, and account growth initiatives.
In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
- Develop customer solutions using OptimalPlus applications and AI or Python‑based tools to deliver measurable return on investment (ROI).
- Analyze real production data to identify opportunities to improve yield, quality, reliability, throughput, and operational efficiency, and clearly communicate findings to customers.
- Build and maintain deep technical knowledge of OptimalPlus software to effectively support customer needs and drive value adoption.
- Serve as the primary technical contact for assigned customer accounts, including ownership of issue resolution and escalation management.
- Collaborate with Product Management, Business Development, Customer Success, and Account Management teams to understand customer requirements and support account expansion.
- Define and manage account priorities, including daily support activities, new functionality requests, customer training, and growth opportunities.
- Provide on‑site customer support and lead regular customer meetings such as weekly status updates and reviews of bugs, enhancements, and feature requests.
- Prepare and present ROI summary reports and business impact updates for customer accounts.
- Participate in customer escalation meetings, define improvement plans, and track execution and outcomes.
- Act as a customer advocate by sharing insights and feedback with Product Management and R&D teams.
- Support account growth and performance, measured through Quarterly Business Reviews, including customer satisfaction, ROI, responsiveness, and contract renewals or upsell activities.
Who You Are:
You build strong partnerships by listening to customers and collaborating effectively with diverse teams to deliver shared outcomes. You approach complex technical challenges with curiosity and structured problem‑solving, translating data into clear, actionable insights. You prioritize customer impact, take ownership of results, and adapt quickly in dynamic environments to deliver meaningful value.
For This Role, You Will Need:
- Experience applying technical or data‑driven solutions in a manufacturing, engineering, or software environment.
- Working knowledge of manufacturing performance metrics such as yield, quality, reliability, genealogy, or throughput.
- Ability to analyze production data and translate findings into customer‑ready insights and recommendations.
- Experience working directly with customers in a technical, support, or consulting capacity.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to varied audiences.
- Willingness to provide on‑site customer support and engage in regular customer meetings as needed.
Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:
- Experience with OptimalPlus software or similar manufacturing analytics platforms.
- Hands‑on experience with AI, data analytics, or Python‑based tools.
- Background in high‑volume manufacturing environments such as semiconductor, electronics, or related industries.
- Experience supporting account growth through value demonstration, ROI reporting, or solution expansion.
