Senior Application Developer - Windows/Mac

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to help build and scale HP's device analytics and insights platform. This role focuses on collecting, processing, and analyzing telemetry from millions of endpoints across Windows, MacOS, and Linux environments while enabling intelligent device insights, diagnostics, and automation.

The ideal candidate has deep systems-level expertise, strong cloud engineering experience, and a proven track record building enterprise-grade endpoint software deployed at scale.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop cross-platform endpoint agents for Windows, and MacOS.

• Build scalable telemetry pipelines for device health, performance, inventory, and diagnostics collection.

• Develop low-level data collection frameworks interacting with OS internals and native APIs.

• Investigate and resolve complex binary crashes, performance bottlenecks, and production incidents.

• Design plugin-based architectures enabling extensible analytics and telemetry capabilities.

• Build AI-powered automation, AI agents, and MCP tools to improve diagnostics and customer workflows.

• Collaborate with cloud, security, and data engineering teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.

• Support enterprise deployments and update mechanisms.

• Contribute to AI-enabled diagnostics, automation, and agent workflows.

• Collaborate with product, cloud, and platform engineering teams.

Required Qualifications

Systems & Platform Expertise

• Strong understanding of Windows and MacOS internals.

• Experience developing system services, daemons, background processes, and desktop applications.

• Knowledge of device lifecycle, domain joining, device identity, and enterprise endpoint management

• Experience troubleshooting OS-level issues, native code crashes, memory leaks, and performance problems.

Enterprise Networking

• Experience developing code that supports

  • Enterprise proxies

  • Kerberos authentication

  • NTLM authentication

  • Secure network communications

Cloud & Distributed Systems

• Strong AWS experience, including:

  • AWS IoT

  • AWS Kinesis

  • AWS CloudFront

  • Event-driven architectures

  • Large-scale telemetry ingestion pipelines

Software Engineering

• Proficiency in one or more of:

  • C++

  • C#

  • Powershell - development modules

  • Go

  • Rust

• Experience with plugin architecture and modular software design

• Ability to debug crashes and analyze application logs

AI Agents & Workflow orchestration

• Exposure to AI agents and workflow orchestration.

• Familiarity with MCP tools and integrations is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with developing windows .net based services desktop based application with windows internals knowledge

• Familiarity with client-server architecture. AWS managed services knowledge is preferrable.

• Analytical skills with respect to understanding of device data patterns.

• Experience collecting and analyzing low-level device telemetry.

• Knowledge of enterprise security and compliance practices

Experience & Education

• 8+ years of software engineering experience.

• 5+ years building enterprise endpoint or systems software.

• Demonstrated ownership of large-scale production systems.

• B.E/B.Tech preferred or any Bachelors degree
