About Us

We’re all here to deliver great retirement outcomes for our members. We have a long history with the University sector and today we’re a place where future-minded Australians can all come together. We have a track record of success and a culture focussed on being the best place to work in superannuation. We’ll achieve this by bringing our values to life in everything we do - genuine care, being better together and a passion for outcomes. We have a clear plan of what we need to do and want you to help lead that journey.

The Technology & Delivery team ensures the sustained health and maintenance of UniSuper’s core systems and platforms - to provide high availability, stability and performance. We remain committed to partner with business units to provide business driven scale and simplification, guidance and delivery of the Enterprise Portfolio and technologies required to enable business capabilities and support the execution of UniSuper’s Strategy.

This is an opportunity to design and deliver modern, member‑focused digital solutions that directly support great retirement outcomes.

The role

In this 6-month Max Term Contract you will provide hands‑on technical expertise to design, develop and maintain application solutions that support UniSuper’s business objectives and member value. Working collaboratively with developers, tech leads and business partners, you will contribute to high‑quality, secure and scalable solutions across BAU and project work.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing and implementing technical solutions aligned to standards, business requirements and non‑functional needs
  • Collaborating with cross‑functional teams to agree integration and data requirements before development
  • Estimating effort for new initiatives and enhancements, considering dependencies and timelines
  • Contributing to development standards through design input, code reviews and quality practices
  • Supporting change, release management, incident resolution and root cause analysis
  • Coaching and mentoring developers to maintain strong engineering practices

About you

You are an experienced application engineer who applies strong technical judgement, problem‑solving and collaboration to deliver reliable outcomes. You enjoy working in complex environments and take pride in building solutions that are robust, secure and maintainable.

You bring:

  • Extensive hands‑on development experience with Sitecore XM Cloud, NextJS and React
  • Strong technical design capability for complex enterprise applications
  • Proven experience diagnosing and resolving production issues
  • Solid estimation skills with an understanding of delivery dependencies
  • Experience mentoring and developing others in technical practice
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in technology or equivalent practical experience

What We Offer

UniSuper believes that the best way to achieve great things is when we come together and collaborate. Therefore, we ask you to be able to commit to 60% of your time in office. UniSuper is proud of our culture and benefits, which empower our people to achieve their full potential, thrive, and grow their career with us. These include:

  • 17% employer superannuation contribution
  • Flexible working and leave options
  • Generous paid parental leave
  • Ongoing learning and development support

It should go without saying, but at UniSuper, we value and celebrate diversity and inclusion. We believe that a variety of perspectives, backgrounds, interests, abilities, and skills is crucial for delivering great retirement outcomes for our members. We invite you to apply for the roles that suit your career aspirations, even if you don’t meet all the requirements.
