• Temporary up to 2 years - Full-Time (35 HPW)
• Clerk Grade 9/10, base salary ($133,348 - $146,945), plus employer’s contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading

Your role

Lead the development of Outsystems applications in a large complex cloud-based software environment that facilitate the achievement of business outcomes through the use of process and technology.

What you’ll do

• Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable, and secure applications that deliver a high-quality user experience and meet business requirements.
• Lead the full software development lifecycle, from requirements analysis and solution design through to development, testing, deployment, and ongoing support.
• Develop high-quality OutSystems solutions following best practices, ensuring strong performance, reliability, accessibility, and user adoption.
• Build responsive, intuitive, and accessible user interfaces while writing clean, maintainable code that aligns with development standards.
• Conduct code reviews, troubleshoot technical issues, optimise application performance, and produce clear technical documentation to support long-term sustainability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders across multiple applications, balancing competing priorities and driving continuous improvement within the development environment.

What we’re looking for

• OutSystems Development Expertise – Strong experience designing and delivering scalable, high-performing applications using OutSystems best practices and modern development standards.
• Problem Solving & Technical Excellence – Proven ability to analyse complex issues, troubleshoot effectively, optimise performance, and deliver reliable software solutions.
• Collaboration & Stakeholder Management – Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams and engage with a diverse range of stakeholders.
• Adaptability & Prioritisation – Able to manage multiple projects, balance competing demands, and deliver high-quality outcomes in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments.

Key knowledge and experience

• Demonstrated experience in software development and delivery using the OutSystems low-code platform, building scalable, maintainable, and high‑quality applications.
• Strong hands-on experience with OutSystems Lifetime and associated tooling, including environment management, application deployment, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Proven experience implementing and consuming REST-based integrations, including API design, error handling, and authentication mechanisms.
• Experience working with relational databases such as Oracle, MySQL, or Microsoft SQL Server.
• OutSystem Certification is an advantage.

Essential requirements

• Qualifications in Information Science/Technology or experience in development and delivery using the OutSystems low-code platform, relevant to the role and demonstrated continuing professional development.
