Make an impact as a Senior Application Developer - Next.js, shaping modern digital experiences that are secure, accessible, high-performing and built to support our members and employers.

The role

You will design, develop and support modern web applications with a strong focus on front-end engineering, Next.js, React, TypeScript and scalable component-based architecture.

Working in a cross-functional Agile team, you will collaborate with Product, UX, Architecture, Quality Engineering, Technology teams and business stakeholders to deliver maintainable digital experiences.

You will:

  • Design, develop, test and maintain modern web applications using Next.js, React and TypeScript.
  • Deliver scalable, maintainable and reusable component-based architecture.
  • Build accessible, responsive and high-performing user interfaces aligned to UX, brand and engineering standards.
  • Contribute to reusable component libraries, design system patterns and modern front-end practices.
  • Apply modern Next.js patterns including server-side rendering, static generation and app-based routing where appropriate.
  • Support performance, accessibility, security, search engine optimisation, release readiness and production issue resolution.

About you

You bring strong commercial experience in front-end or web development, with hands-on expertise across Next.js, React and TypeScript.

You enjoy solving technical problems, working closely with product and design teams and building clean, maintainable solutions that improve the digital experience.

You will bring:

  • Strong experience building responsive, accessible and high-performance web applications.
  • Strong understanding of component-based architecture, state management, API integration and front-end testing.
  • Experience contributing to front-end architecture, coding standards, reusable patterns and code reviews.
  • Experience working with REST APIs, GraphQL or other integration patterns.
  • Strong understanding of web performance, accessibility, browser compatibility and secure front-end development practices.
  • Experience working in Agile delivery teams alongside Product, UX, Quality Engineering and backend or platform teams.
  • Experience with Storybook, design systems, Vercel, Sitecore XM Cloud, Sitecore JSS, Angular, Node.js, CI/CD pipelines, GitHub or Azure DevOps would be highly regarded.
