Job Description

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and creative Senior Animator to join their art team. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in slot game animation, a strong eye for detail, and a passion for storytelling through motion. In this role, the Senior Animator will be responsible for producing dynamic, visually engaging animations that enhance the overall player experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Animation Production: Create high-quality animations for characters, symbols, backgrounds, and user interface elements within slot games

• Concept Development: Collaborate with the Art Director and game designers to develop animation concepts aligned with the game’s theme and creative vision

• Storyboarding: Produce detailed storyboards and animatics to effectively plan and visualize animations prior to production

• Rigging: Develop and maintain character rigs that meet the technical and creative needs of the animation team

• Optimization: Ensure animations are optimized for performance across multiple platforms without compromising visual quality

• Mentorship: Provide guidance and support to junior animators, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented team environment

• Feedback and Iteration: Actively participate in feedback loops, refining animations to achieve the desired quality and impact

• Software Proficiency: Utilize industry-standard tools such as After Effects, Spine, and Photoshop to create high-quality animations

• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including game design, production, programming, and sound to deliver a cohesive final product

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum of 3 years’ professional animation experience, ideally within slot games or the wider gaming industry

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Animation, Fine Arts, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience

• Portfolio: Strong portfolio demonstrating a range of animation styles and techniques, including relevant slot game work

• Technical Skills: Proficiency in tools such as After Effects, Spine, and Photoshop, with familiarity in 3D modeling and texturing software

• Artistic Ability: Solid understanding of animation principles, including timing and motion

• Attention to Detail: High level of precision and commitment to delivering top-quality animations

• Teamwork: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team

• Adaptability: Ability to work across different art styles and adjust to evolving project requirements

• Industry Experience: Proven experience in slot game animation is essential

• VFX Skills: Experience working with visual effects and particle systems
