🚀 The Opportunity:

We’re building a next-generation platform for live augmentation, delivering frame-accurate virtual graphics on top of premium live streams for real time sport events of top leagues, broadcasters, VOD and content providers.

This is not a standard mobile role. You will work on high-performance Android SDK integrated into third party players, augmenting DRM-protected video streams in real time, solving hard problems in synchronization, rendering and performance at scale.

We're looking for a been-there-done-that engineer who can own complex systems end-to-end and make them work in the real world.

🎯 Your Mission:

• Develop and maintain an Android SDK for real-time video augmentation
• Implement frame-accurate synchronization with video streams (e.g., HLS) under DRM constraints (no pixel access)
• Build a high-quality rendering pipeline for virtual graphics over live video
• Optimize performance across a wide range of Android devices (GPU/CPU tradeoffs, hardware acceleration vs fallback paths, device-specific tuning)
• Maintain broadcast-level visual quality on mobile devices
• Work closely with iOS, Web, and Backend teams (timing, metadata, orchestration)
• Deliver production-ready features under tight live-event timelines

You’re the kind of engineer who thrives on high-performance, real-time constraints. You’re technically deep (video + rendering), pragmatic about device fragmentation and calm when delivery timelines are tight.

📝 Qualifications & Experience:

Essential

• Strong experience in Android development
• Deep understanding of:
• Video playback pipelines (HLS, ExoPlayer)
• Rendering (OpenGL ES / Vulkan / Surface / Canvas)
• Decoding (ffmpeg / HW acceleration)
• Experience with real-time / low-latency systems
• Strong performance optimization skills:
• GPU/CPU balancing
• Memory management
• Device-specific tuning
• Experience building SDKs integrated into external apps
• Ability to work end-to-end and deliver under pressure

Desirable

• Experience with DRM-protected content
• Background in video synchronization / timing systems
• Experience with cross-platform alignment (Android/iOS/Web)
• Familiarity with live streaming/broadcast environments
