Job Description

Company Description

Join a project where your work directly impacts large-scale mobile monetization platforms used by publishers worldwide. We are looking for a Senior Android Developer with strong expertise in native Android SDK development and production-grade mobile engineering.

You will work remotely with a distributed team on maintaining and enhancing open-source Android SDKs integrated into real mobile applications at scale. This role is ideal for engineers who enjoy solving complex architectural and release-quality challenges beyond standard application development.

We at Sigma Software offer the opportunity to work with modern technologies, collaborate with experienced professionals, and contribute to high-performance SDK solutions in the growing AdTech domain.

CUSTOMER

Our Customer operates in the mobile advertising technology industry and develops SDK solutions that help mobile publishers monetize their applications through in-app advertising infrastructure. Their products support ad delivery, rendering, analytics, and communication with advertising platforms while serving performance-sensitive production environments.

PROJECT

The project focuses on the ongoing development and maintenance of native Android advertising SDKs distributed through Maven and integrated into third-party mobile applications. The SDKs support banner and video advertising, SSP communication, beacon and pixel tracking, timeout handling, and publisher-side integration processes.

The team works in a release-critical environment where stability, backward compatibility, and SDK reliability are essential. This is an opportunity to contribute to scalable open-source SDK solutions already used in production rather than building a product from scratch.

Key Technologies: Kotlin, Java, Android SDK, Maven Central, JitPack, Gradle, Automated Testing

Job Description

  • Develop, enhance, and maintain native Android SDKs used in production environments
  • Implement new SDK features and improve existing functionality
  • Ensure SDK stability, backward compatibility, and release quality
  • Design and support SDK architecture, packaging, versioning, and release processes
  • Maintain Maven and Gradle distribution pipelines
  • Create and maintain automated and device-based testing solutions
  • Investigate and resolve SDK defects, integration issues, and publisher-reported problems
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve SDK reliability and performance
  • Participate in release planning, validation, and quality assurance activities
  • Support external publishers during SDK integration and troubleshooting

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of commercial Android development experience
  • Strong commercial experience with Kotlin and Java
  • Proven experience developing native Android SDKs or libraries
  • Strong understanding of Android SDK architecture and lifecycle
  • Hands-on experience with SDK packaging and distribution tools such as Maven Central, JitPack, and Gradle plugins
  • Experience with versioning, release management, and dependency handling
  • Practical experience with automated testing and device-based testing
  • Strong focus on software quality and production reliability
  • Experience working in release-critical environments
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex integration and compatibility issues
  • Good communication skills and ability to work in a distributed team environment
  • Upper-Intermediate English level or higher
  • WILL BE A PLUS
  • Experience with AI-assisted testing approaches and test coverage optimization
  • Understanding of mobile advertising technologies and AdTech ecosystems
  • Experience with SSP platforms and ad servers
  • Knowledge of banner and video advertising mechanics
  • Familiarity with tracking beacons and pixel-based analytics
  • Experience contributing to or maintaining open-source SDKs
  • Experience supporting third-party publisher integrations
