This is a growth‑oriented commercial role responsible for revenue generation, client expansion, and broadening Circana’s analytics penetration within owned accounts. In this role, you will engage directly with senior CPG clients as a trusted business partner to understand their complex business challenges and translate them into analytical solutions. You'll leverage your deep knowledge of analytics methodologies—including pricing and promotion optimization, assortment optimization, demand forecasting, elasticity modeling, and channel strategy—to identify the right approaches and tools to address clients' strategic needs.

You'll serve as the bridge between client business problems and Circana's analytical capabilities, working with internal analytics teams to scope, manage, and deliver solutions that drive measurable business impact. By understanding clients' businesses cross-functionally and maintaining strong knowledge of Circana's analytics solutions, tools, and simulators, you'll effectively position our capabilities to address their most pressing challenges.

You'll apply business savvy and consultative capabilities to strengthen client relationships, identify new opportunities, and convert analytical insights into revenue growth for both your clients and Circana.

Job Responsibilities
Identify business issues and opportunities by applying knowledge of CPG industry, clients' businesses, and Circana's analytics capabilities. Understand client challenges related to pricing, promotion, assortment, demand forecasting, and channel strategy, and recommend the appropriate analytical solutions and approaches. Articulate how Circana's tools, simulators, and custom analytics can address specific business needs and drive value. Synthesize modeled outputs into clear commercial implications, guiding clients on how to activate recommendations to drive brand growth, retailer alignment, and competitive advantage.

Client Engagement & Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with senior decision-makers at major CPG companies . Engage directly with clients as a strategic partner, demonstrating deep understanding of their business context, competitive dynamics, and key performance drivers. Drive senior-level engagement and present confidently to top management.

Internal Stakeholder Relationship Management: Develop strong internal relationships with Circana Client Leads to gain access to brand and retailer stakeholders. Proactively partner with Client Leads to coordinate introductions, align messaging, and jointly craft client engagement strategies.”

Analytics Knowledge & Thought Leadership: Maintain strong working knowledge of advanced analytics methodologies including price elasticity modeling, demand transferability calculations, promotional effectiveness measurement, demand forecasting techniques, and optimization approaches. Stay current on Circana's analytics solutions, tools, and simulators to effectively position capabilities and explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences in clear, business-relevant terms.

Account & Project Management: Take responsibility for client accounts and ensure quality delivery of analytics programs. Work with internal analytics teams to scope projects, manage timelines, and oversee implementation of analyses that address clients' business issues. Own client analytics revenue and ensure projects deliver against expectations.

Business Development & Revenue Growth: Own revenue targets for assigned client accounts and proactively identify new analytics opportunities to grow the business. Collaborate with commercial teams to develop proposals, respond to RFPs, and scope analytics solutions. Drive both short-term wins and long-term strategic relationships that deliver revenue and margin contributions for Circana Analytics.

Impactful Presence: Demonstrate strong interpersonal communication, questioning techniques, and active listening skills. Present analytical findings and recommendations with clarity and confidence, adapting messages as needed for different audiences. Respectfully challenge client thinking when appropriate and guide them toward data-driven decision making. Influence internal and client-side strategic direction by framing analytics opportunities and advising on long-term planning, pricing, and growth levers. Tell a compelling business story that connects analytics to real-world outcomes, ensuring clients understand not just the ‘what,’ but the ‘so what’ and the ‘now what’.

Requirements

  • 10-15 years of experience in CPG marketing analytics, category management, or related analytical roles
  • Experience in consultative sales or client development with demonstrated success in building and maintaining senior-level client relationships
  • Track record of success exceeding business targets while strengthening client relationships
  • Proven ability to influence and collaborate internally to secure stakeholder access and drive coordinated client engagement
  • Strong working knowledge of advanced analytics methodologies including price elasticity modeling, demand forecasting, promotional optimization, assortment optimization and channel strategy analytics
  • Experience using Point of Sale, syndicated, and other CPG data sources in the application of modeling and analytics
  • Familiarity with pricing and promotion tools, simulators, and optimization platforms; ability to explain technical concepts to business audiences
  • Deep understanding of CPG industry with experience in food & beverage, home care, wellness, or beauty categories preferred
  • Proven ability to translate complex business problems into analytical solutions and manage project delivery through internal analytics teams
  • Strong presentation and communication skills with ability to engage confidently with C-suite and senior management
  • Orientation toward partnership and ability to achieve positive outcomes through collaboration with internal teams and offshore resources
  • Demonstrated success in hitting or exceeding revenue targets in a commercial or consultative sales environment.
  • Bachelor's degree required in marketing, business, economics, statistics, or related field; advanced degree in quantitative discipline preferred

This position can be located in the following area(s): Remote, United States (with ability to travel as needed <5%)

The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. An employee’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs. The salary range for this role is $150,000 to $165,000.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
