As a Senior UX Designer, you'll play a key role in shaping the user experience for our products. You'll be responsible for leading design projects, mentoring junior team members, and advocating for user-centered design throughout various cross-functional projects.
Lead and Drive UX Design Lead the design and development of intuitive and engaging user experiences for Whirlpool's connected home appliances and services across mobile and product platforms.
Champion User-Centered Design Advocate for user needs throughout the entire product development lifecycle, influencing product strategy and ensuring a user-centric approach is embedded in all decisions.
Conduct and Lead User Research: Lead and conduct in-depth user research, including user interviews, usability testing, and ethnographic studies, to deeply understand user needs and pain points.
Develop and Deliver High-Quality Design Solutions: Create compelling and intuitive user interfaces for Whirlpool's connected home appliances and services across mobile and product platforms, while maintaining high design standards within the team.
Develop and Refine Design Systems: Lead the development and refinement of robust and scalable design systems across Whirlpool's various brands, ensuring consistency and efficiency across all touchpoints.
Communicate Compelling Design Solutions Effectively communicate design decisions and rationale to stakeholders through journey maps, high-fidelity prototypes, and presentations.
Explore and Leverage Emerging Technologies: Proactively identify and evaluate emerging technologies in the IoT space, such as voice UIs, AI, and the Internet of Things, and translate them into innovative user experiences.
Mentor and Guide Junior Designers Mentor and guide junior designers, providing constructive feedback and fostering their professional growth.
Bachelor’s Degree in Design, Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology or Engineering.
2+ years of professional experience in a design role
Advanced knowledge of UX/UI fundamentals, usability, and accessibility principles
Advanced knowledge of Figma and working knowledge of design systems
Skills in communicating and influencing product design strategy.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to lead the design process through technical constraints as they apply to designing for multiple platforms and modalities.
This position is located at Joinville, the largest city in Santa Catarina state and an important industrial, financial and commercial center of the south region of Brazil. Here in this factory is centered the production of refrigerators, freezers, dryers, water purifiers and B.Blend machines. Also, here it's the base of the global product research and development team in Brazil for the refrigeration, air conditioning, water purifiers, cooking and eletronic areas.
