Job Description

Job Title: Senior Analyst, Risk Management

Reports To: Senior Director, Risk Management

FLSA Status: Exempt

Department: Risk

Responsible for managing vendor solutions to manage risk. This role will monitor and evaluate trends, analyze and implement vendor solutions, in addition to contributing to our mission of building sophisticated risk strategies to advance financial inclusion and access to responsible credit.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Manage and maintain multiple vendor relationships across risk functions.
  • Monitor vendor product usage and ensure adherence to contractual terms and performance standards.
  • Analyze existing contracts to identify process improvements, cost optimization opportunities, and efficiency gains.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to align vendor capabilities with business needs; support audits and internal reporting related to vendor oversight.
  • Support retrospective analyses of new vendor solutions through data exchange, performance evaluation, and cost analysis.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement analytical and operational solutions into production environments.
  • Collect, research, and analyze data to design workflows and procedures; identify data relationships, dependencies, and improvement opportunities.

  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Mathematics, Data Science, Statistics, Economics, Finance, etc.) strongly preferred; however formal training and/or certification in SQL and Tableau is required.
    • Master’s degree preferred.
  • 3+ years of professional experience managing vendor relationships.
  • 3+ years of professional experience working for a fintech preferred.
  • Demonstrated skill and experience with SQL, Tableau (or other BI tools), Excel, and PowerPoint.

  • Data Analysis: Strong ability to analyze data using SQL and BI tools to evaluate vendor performance, identify trends, and support data-driven decisions.
  • Risk Evaluation: Ability to assess the effectiveness of vendor solutions in managing credit, fraud, and operational risk.
  • Problem Solving: Applies analytical thinking to identify issues, design solutions, and improve workflows, data quality, and outcomes.
  • Collaboration & Communication: Partners effectively with internal teams and clearly communicates findings, insights, and recommendations to stakeholders.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, reach, and sit for a minimum of 8 hours with or without reasonable accommodation. The employee is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects and/or tools. The employee is required to talk or hear with or without reasonable accommodation and must sometimes lift and move up to 10 pounds.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the logistics duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moderate noises such as computers, printers, and other light traffic noise in an office setting.

This role is in-office. Remote work may be performed from a pre-approved location, as arranged, and scheduled by team management and approved by department leadership.
