What will you be doing?

This role supports the commercial lead across retail media engagements, helping identify opportunities, prepare insights, and contribute to client-facing conversations that drive growth. The position blends early‑career sales responsibilities with hands‑on exposure to Circana’s data assets, retail media solutions, and activation workflows, offering a strong path to build commercial and retail media expertise. The ideal candidate is curious, detail‑oriented, and eager to learn how data, audiences, and measurement come together to inform smarter client decisions. This role plays a key part in ensuring clients receive clear insights, timely follow‑ups, and a seamless experience across analytics and retail media initiatives.

Job Responsibilities

Support Client Growth Across Analytics & Retail Media
Assist the commercial lead in identifying opportunities in both traditional analytics and retail media by preparing materials, conducting background research, and helping position Circana’s solutions for client needs.

Translate Data & Retail Media Insights Into Simple, Actionable Takeaways
Work with senior team members to interpret shopper, sales, and retail media performance data and help craft clear stories that support client conversations and commercial proposals.

Contribute to the Sales Process (Analytics + Retail Media)
Support key steps in the sales cycle—including prospecting research, preparing needs assessments, assisting with proposals, and contributing to follow-ups for both analytics programs and retail media opportunities.

Collaborate Across Teams
Partner closely with Client Insights, Product, Retail Media Measurement, and Analytics to gather inputs, validate numbers, and help deliver cohesive client solutions.

Build Foundational Retail Media & Industry Knowledge
Develop understanding of retail, CPG, and retail media trends—such as audience strategy, activation, measurement, and cross‑channel dynamics—to strengthen client discussions and improve solution alignment.

Maintain & Strengthen Client Relationships
Help manage ongoing communication through meeting prep, capturing notes and action items, tracking deliverables, and ensuring timely responses across analytics and retail media conversations.

Leverage Circana Platforms for Sales Support
Use tools like Unify+, Liquid Data, Retail Media dashboards, and other Circana platforms to pull data, build views, and support preparation of client‑ready materials.

Support Revenue & Pipeline Management
Assist the commercial lead with organizing the pipeline, updating CRM entries, tracking progress toward sales goals, and keeping visibility into both analytics and retail media opportunities.

Champion Client Success Across Solutions
Help identify challenges and opportunities across measurement, analytics, and retail media programs—and escalate or support resolutions to ensure strong client outcomes.

Provide Market & Product Feedback
Share observations from client discussions to inform product, platform, and capability development—especially related to emerging retail media needs.

Develop Analytic & Retail Media Skills Over Time
Demonstrate increasing comfort with data by supporting analyses, building basic reporting views, and helping turn findings into actionable recommendations for both analytics and retail media use cases.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Data Analytics, Communications, Economics, or a related field required.
  • Experience Level: 0–2 years of experience in a client-facing, sales, analytics, or retail/CPG environment.
  • Software & Platform Skills: Proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint required. Familiarity with analytics tools, CRM systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics), or retail media/ad platforms is preferred but is not required; training will be provided.

Additional Skills & Experience

  • Experience with digital media and shopper loyalty programs.
  • Ability to translate data and analysis into clear, relevant business implications.
  • Strong project management and process discipline.
  • Ability to operate in a consultative, client‑facing manner when managing deliverables.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and leverage mutually beneficial internal and external relationships.
  • Creative problem‑solver with the ability to address complex business issues.
  • Strong planning, leadership, communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Solid understanding of client challenges paired with strong analytical capabilities.
  • Experience with Circana solutions (including Unify+) is a plus.
  • High proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel.

The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. An employee’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs. The salary range for this role is $60,000.00 to $85,000.00 USD.
