About the Opportunity

We are seeking a Senior Analyst Regulatory Reporting to join our Regulation and Economics team.

This newly created role reflects the growing importance and complexity of economic regulatory reporting requirements and will play a critical role in ensuring Urban Utilities' regulatory performance is accurately tracked, analysed and reported to the economic regulator. As the subject matter expert for regulatory reporting, you will coordinate reporting activities across a diverse range of business functions, bringing together data, analysis and stakeholder inputs to deliver high-quality, transparent and evidence-based reporting outcomes. Success in this role means maintaining strong reporting frameworks, providing insightful analysis of performance trends and ensuring regulatory reporting obligations are met consistently and efficiently.

This role requires a highly collaborative professional who can build strong relationships across all levels of the organisation. Working closely with Finance, Operations, Data, Strategy and senior leaders, you'll translate complex regulatory requirements into practical business outcomes while helping ensure Urban Utilities continues to meet customer, stakeholder and regulatory expectations both now and into the future.

What You’ll Deliver

• Lead the end-to-end coordination, quality assurance and delivery of regulatory reporting activities, ensuring compliance with economic regulatory obligations and reporting standards.
• Develop and maintain regulatory reporting frameworks, methodologies, controls and governance processes that support accurate, transparent and auditable reporting outcomes.
• Partner with stakeholders across the business to collect, validate and analyse information, ensuring reporting requirements are understood and delivered on time.
• Provide detailed performance, trend and variance analysis that identifies risks, opportunities and key drivers influencing regulatory outcomes.
• Act as a trusted advisor on regulatory reporting requirements, supporting economic regulation submissions, stakeholder engagement activities and continuous improvement initiatives.

About You

This role is suited to an experienced regulatory professional who combines strong technical expertise in economic regulation with exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills. You enjoy bringing together complex information from multiple sources, working across organisational boundaries and delivering high-quality outcomes in a highly regulated environment.

• Tertiary qualification in Economics, Finance, Accounting or a related discipline.
• Demonstrated experience in a senior analyst role within a large commercial organisation operating in a regulated industry.
• Strong technical knowledge of economic regulation, regulatory reporting frameworks and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Proven ability to coordinate complex reporting activities involving multiple stakeholders, competing priorities and tight deadlines.
• Advanced analytical skills with experience interpreting economic, financial, operational and regulatory data to support reporting and decision-making.
• Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organisation.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to translate complex regulatory requirements into clear and practical insights.
• Experience preparing regulatory submissions, performance reporting or responses for regulators, with a focus on accuracy, governance and continuous improvement.
