About the opportunity

The Royal Caribbean Group Global Marine Operations team has an exciting full-time career opportunity for a Senior Analyst, Program Management reporting to the Associate Manager, Program Management. The position will work on site in the office, Monday through Thursday, in Miami, Florida with Fridays being remote.

What does the Marine Operations Team do?

The Marine Operations Team at Royal Caribbean Group ensures the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of the company’s global fleet. The team oversees navigation, technical operations, safety, regulatory compliance and crew workforce planning, partnering closely with shipboard leadership and external authorities to maintain operational excellence, meet maritime regulations and deliver consistently safe voyages across all brands worldwide.

How you can make an impact

The Global Marine Operations PMO Project Associate supports the department and internal teams by implementing, developing and following PMO processes. The role tracks program and project deliverables and milestones, supports adoption of the project lifecycle and methodologies, coordinates risks and issues, monitors project status, and coordinates regular reports and presentations.

What your day-to-day will look like

  • Implement PMO standards across the assigned discipline portfolio, including tracking, monitoring and updating program and project deliverables.
  • Follow project development closely and track completion of each stage within established timelines and budgets.
  • Manage risks in accordance with PMO standards and escalate project risks or problems when needed.
  • Assign deadlines and follow up with action owners on deliverables.
  • Support implementation of the PMO Project Management strategy, including processes and templates, and proactively support initiatives that improve the PMO organization, processes and tools.
  • Manage timely communication and interactions with key program stakeholders.
  • Create reports and presentations that show program progress using milestone-tracking dashboards and timelines.
  • Partner with Finance to coordinate project execution within the overall project budget and assist with monthly forecasting and variance explanations.
  • Monitor committed versus budgeted project costs, escalate budgets at risk of exceeding plans, and support Project Managers with purchase-order tracking, variance explanations and forecast reviews.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned by a supervisor or management.

How to achieve success

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s or master's degree in Business Management, Industrial Engineering, Project Management or a related field; or a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related field with demonstrated project management experience.
  • One to three years of relevant experience.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Solid written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and precisely across all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to coordinate team efforts and drive results.
  • Excellent organizational and presentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks or initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented approach with analytical and spreadsheet-modeling skills.
  • Strong ability to collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret a wide variety of instructions presented in mathematical or diagram form.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Project.
  • For internal candidates: knowledge of purchase orders, AI agents, the capital request process, budgeting, and report capture.
  • English language proficiency and the ability to present information clearly and effectively to a team of five or more.

Travel

  • Ability and willingness to travel, both domestically and internationally, approximately 10% of the time, which can include visiting shipboard, shipyards, dry docks or off-site locations with possible high noise levels.
