Job Title: Senior Analyst – Power BI Developer

Grade : D1

Shift: 2 pm to 11 pm IST

Role: Individual contributor role.

Location: Manyata Tech Park, Bangalore.

Introduction to role:

Based in Bangalore, you will serve as the Power BI solution owner, designing, developing, and governing BI solutions using Power BI, Power Apps, and Power Automate. You will partner closely with Business Systems collaborators, translating business ideas into intuitive, reliable insights that guide action. Your work will inform decisions across key functions, reduce manual effort through automation, and raise the standard of analytics design and data quality.

This role balances hands-on development with leadership. You will set standard methodologies for modeling, security, and UX; mentor other developers; and drive projects from concept to adoption. The impact is tangible: clearer visibility, faster answers, and better outcomes for patients who depend on our speed and precision.

Accountabilities:

• Power BI Reporting and Analytics: Build interactive, executive-ready dashboards and visualizations to communicate important data and insights.
• Data Modeling and Security: Perform advanced data modeling; implement Row-Level Security; and develop robust DAX calculations that ensure performance, accuracy, and trust.
• Data Integration and Warehousing: Integrate data from various sources into cohesive Power BI datasets. Follow guidelines for master keys, key linkage, and star schema development. Use SQL and Snowflake to build scalable pipelines.
• Power Apps Solutions: Design and implement user-friendly Power Apps with seamless connectivity to SharePoint, Snowflake, and other data sources, enabling low-code/no-code solutions for business workflows.
• Workflow Automation: Use Power Automate to automate recurring tasks and orchestrate flows; develop custom connectors and logic; monitor and resolve issues to ensure reliability and efficiency.
• Testing and Documentation: Lead SIT, create test cases, and ensure SOP and TDD documentation; release only thoroughly tested, accurate reports and apps.
• Customer Partnership: Collaborate with business teams to gather requirements, prototype development options, and deliver solutions; document methodologies, workflows, and guidelines for reuse and scale.
• Storytelling and Adoption: Present insights with clear narratives, driving understanding and action; champion user experience building and data literacy across collaborator groups.
• Leadership and Delivery Management: Provide first-line leadership among BI developers; manage timelines and dependencies; raise risks early and course-correct to deliver on commitments.

Essential Skills/Experience:

• 8+ years of professional experience, with at least 4 years hands-on experience with Power BI.
• Expertise in Power BI report development.
• Advanced proficiency in Power BI, including data modelling, Power Query, and knowledge of DAX or relevant equivalent experience.
• Proven track record of different Power BI use cases.
• Good project management skills within a BI development environment.
• Knowledge of Power Apps and ability to develop scalable applications.
• Workflow build and fix experience with Power Automate.
• Advanced SQL skills for data exploration and data testing.
• In depth knowledge of working with different data sets under guideline approaches (master keys, key linkage, star schema, etc).
• Ability to understand and translate business ideas into dashboard solutions as well as to appropriately communicate directly with business collaborators.
• First team lead experience / playing the role of senior point of contact among multiple BI developers.
• Attention to detail to ensure any reports released have accurate data.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with excellent analytical and logical thinking, with an ability to detect challenges early and to raise it.
• A proactive approach and focus on team success; highly motivated self-starter, driven for results, effective at prioritizing and managing multiple tasks concurrently; ability to work independently.
• A good command of English and effective written and verbal communication and presentation skills.

Desirable Skills/Experience:

• Certification in Power BI.
• Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and transformation.
• Familiarity with SharePoint, Snowflake, and cloud-based services (Azure, AWS, etc.), and their integration,
• Experience in SIT and test case documentation; SOP and TDD document creation.
• Presentation and storytelling abilities. - Knowledge and usage of neighboring Microsoft applications and the broader Power Platform and Microsoft 365 ecosystem.
