The Opportunity
We are hiring a Senior Analyst PMO to work within the Project Services team. The Project Services team supports the provision of program, project management, change management and analysis services.
The Senior Analyst role reports to the Senior Manager, PMO and is crucial to the efficient delivery of our strategic programs and projects. The PMO team consists of specialists who support all aspects of program and project delivery at the organisational level, including best practice standards and guidance, reporting and insights, monitoring and control, resource management, risk and issue management, and quality assurance.
Key Responsibilities
Support and contribute to the development and adoption of the Agency’s project frameworks, governance standards and tools
Analyse and coordinate portfolio level tracking against agreed performance indicators
Prepare and maintain reporting across schedules, deliverables, dependencies, budgets, risks, issues and benefits
Provide PMO support to Program and Project Managers, including management and oversight of assigned projects as required
Support effective portfolio coordination and visibility across programs and projects
Foster a high performance, collaborative team environment
Deliver a high standard of customer service to internal stakeholders
Identify, recommend and support continual service improvement initiatives
About You
Experience working in a PMO or portfolio management environment Strong understanding of project management methodologies, including both waterfall and agile approaches
High proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel and experience with AI tools such as Co-pilot
Experience using project and collaboration tools such as MS Project, Jira, SharePoint, Confluence and Objective
Practical knowledge of project delivery lifecycles, governance frameworks and assurance practices
Experience working with Project Portfolio Management (PPM) tools
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work professionally with a wide range of stakeholders, including executives, managers, SMEs, vendors and consultants
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages for different audiences
Confident, enthusiastic and professional approach
Strong organisational and time management skills
Ability to work under pressure and meet demanding deadlines with minimal supervision
Adaptable, accountable and open to new ideas
Ability to critically evaluate information and constructively challenge assumptions
Proactive in identifying improvement opportunities and facilitating knowledge transfer
Demonstrated commitment to organisational values, standards and ways of working
