Key Responsibilities May Include:

  • Analyze complex, high-volume data from various sources using diverse tools and techniques to derive actionable insights.
  • Develop and maintain high-quality standardized outputs, including visualizations and dashboards, that translate complex data into clear, business-relevant insights.
  • Respond to ad-hoc analysis requests by developing new reports or dashboards as needed, ensuring accuracy and relevance.
  • Support the ongoing delivery of regular KPI reports, maintaining accuracy and relevance to business needs.
  • Synthesize analytical findings into meaningful insights, presenting data in an easy-to-understand format for diverse business audiences.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their analytical needs, define requirements, and deliver data-driven insights that support decision-making.
  • Continuously seek to improve reporting processes by staying up to date on industry trends and best practices in data analysis and insight generation.
  • Provide technical support and training on analytical tools and methodologies to empower business stakeholders in their use of data-driven insights.

Position Purpose

In this role, you’ll design and implement advanced statistical data models that support mission-critical reporting, performance metrics and controls, and deep-dive analysis. You’ll collaborate with data engineers, data developers and data scientists to deliver impactful reporting and analytics to support and guide business strategy (translate data into information in order to achieve business goals). You’ll participate in high-visibility projects with huge impact on product development and process optimization. As the company grows and progress continually, you’ll help to establish and promote data standards and best practices, as well as design and deploy new data solutions to deliver value to the business.

Major/Key Accountabilities

  • Design, build and automate business metrics to support strategic initiatives & projects using data as main enabler, and applying mathematical and statistical modelling.
  • Develop and deploy deep-dive analysis as per asset control requirements.
  • Apply your expertise in quantitative analysis to see beyond the numbers and provide user-friendly outputs and actionable insights.
  • Conduct explanatory data analysis through statistical analysis and statistical inference.
  • Present data insights and deliver presentations with the goal of educating and championing a data informed culture.
  • Highlight, communicate and propose solutions about key issues on data and processes within CHEP systems.
  • Monitor own completion of workload and meet objectives.
  • Work closely with all internal stakeholders to improve the quality of insights provided.
  • Ensure best practices implementation to improve service to business stakeholders.
  • Ensure insights are available to be used on internal processes.
  • Propose enhancements on new/current tools (standardization, usability, workload).
  • Create documentation about internal processes.
  • Investigate and propose external data sources that can bring value for asset control processes.

Qualifications

  • 3- 5 years working experience
  • English advanced mandatory
  • Phyton and SQL mandatory

Experience

  • Strong mathematical and statistical background
  • Experience with statistical inference
  • Experience working with Data Warehouse platform (e.g., AWS Athena, Redshift, BigQuery).
  • Ability to write, improve and troubleshoot complex SQL queries.
  • Experience working in Python or R to perform data analysis.
  • Experience with process automation and workload reduction through Python scripts, VBA macros or similar.
  • Experience building dashboards with business intelligence tools (PowerBI, Tableau or similar).
  • Ability to analyse, model and interpret data.
  • Analytical background and expertise in transforming data into insights.
  • Comfortable presenting insights and interacting with senior management and explain complex ideas simply.
  • Experience designing visual presentations to tell the story behind the data.
  • Working on remote teams.
  • Proved experience organizing own tasks (manage priorities, standardization, automation, troubleshooting and short-term planning).
  • Experience with change management.
