About the Role

As part of the Methodology Construction (Portfolio & Funds) team, the Senior Analyst will lead analysis and prototype development within the technical and methodological development of calculated portfolio and fund methodology across ESG products. This role supports the methodological design, technical implementation, and testing of portfolio and fund methodologies through a mix of large-scale analysis, requirements gathering, and specification construction.

This role will focus on translating business and methodology requirements into clear technical specifications, owning analysis and prototyping of calculated ESG methodology, and assisting multifunctional teams, including Methodology, Product, and Technology in the implementation and testing process.

A key part of this role will involve researching data logic, prototyping calculations, and supporting methodology testing. The role will closely collaborate with other ESG Portfolio & Fund Methodology team members, while also collaborating across a wide group of both business and technical stakeholders. The position is suited to someone who embraces a continuous learning mindset, and enjoys working at the intersection of data, methodology, and technical systems in a collaborative environment.

Job Responsibilities

  • Communicate with internal stakeholders, including research teams, client success teams, and product groups, to understand and clarify methodological and business requirements

  • Translate requirements into actionable specifications through detailed analysis, including calculation prototyping, impact analysis, and data mapping across internal data sources

  • Confidently communicate clear technical and methodological specifications to various stakeholders and leadership

  • Assist in building and maintaining methodology-related data logic and calculation frameworks, using analysis to inform decisions

  • Collaborating with project managers, developers, QA analysts, and technical leads to support calculated data delivery, including test support, data validation, and calculation verification

  • Support existing methodological processes and product features by helping investigate issues, identifying root causes, and proposing improvements

  • Contribute to the creation of internal documentation to strengthen organizational knowledge around methodology and data logic

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in business analysis, data analysis, or a related analytical function

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business, computer science, statistics, economics, or another relevant field

  • Intermediate to advance Excel; beginner to intermediate knowledge of programming and data-handling skills in Python and/or SQL, as well as a willingness to grow their expertise

  • Experience working with financial or ESG concepts or structured datasets, or an understanding of equity, fund, or fixed-income data methodologies are an asset but not required. We’re confident that the right candidate will confidently learn new subject matter while applying their skillset.

  • Strong analytical abilities, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail

  • Ability to learn quickly and work independently while contributing effectively in a collaborative team environment

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly

  • Proficient business English oral and writing skills (the company’s working language is English)

Nice to have:

  • Advanced SQL, Python, and related data management tools (e.g. PowerBI)

  • Knowledge of ESG investing concepts

Experience utilizing LEAN, Six Sigma, or Agile methodologies in a project management or data operations setting

Base Salary Compensation Range

RON 139,000.00-217,666.66

Bonus Target:

12.5% Annual

We expect the compensation and target bonus for this role to fall within the stated range. The specific compensation offered will depend on the candidate’s qualifications, experience, and other job-related factors.
