Job
The primary purpose of the Senior Analyst– Merchandising Reportingrole is to lead and deliver high-impact, data-driven analytical solutions that improve store space productivity, optimize store layouts and adjacencies, and support strategic merchandising initiatives across Lowe’s stores.
This role is responsible for independently structuring analytical problems, developing scalable approaches, synthesizing complex data into actionable insights, and influencing business decisions through clear recommendations. The Senior Analyst partners closely with cross-functional teams across Store Planning, Visual Merchandising, Assortment Planning, Project Management, and business leadership to evaluate opportunities, quantify impact, and support execution-ready recommendations.
This position requires strong analytical thinking, business acumen, and the ability to balance strategic intent with practical execution constraints. The individual must be comfortable working in a matrixed organization, managing ambiguity, and driving workstreams with a high degree of ownership and accountability.

Lead analytical workstreams supporting store optimization , space productivity , new store planning , and strategic enterprise initiatives
Translate business questions into structured analytical approaches, hypotheses, and decision frameworks
Build and validate analyses related to store performance , space allocation , adjacency optimization , category flow , capacity , and productivity impacts
Develop data-driven recommendations that improve store layout effectiveness, customer flow, operational efficiency, and business performance
Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to align on scope, assumptions, risks, dependencies, and success metrics
Create business cases, impact assessments, and executive-ready summaries to support prioritization and leadership decisions
Support pre/post analysis for strategic initiatives and identify insights that can inform future optimization efforts
Leverage multiple data sources to create a holistic view of performance drivers, store traits, and opportunity areas
Improve repeatability and scalability of analysis by standardizing templates, methodologies, and reporting approaches
Contribute to capability building in areas such as space analytics , productivity reporting , capacity tracking , and decision support tools
Present findings and recommendations to managers, directors, and cross-functional business partners with clarity and confidence
Coach junior analysts as needed by sharing best practices in problem solving, analytical rigor, and stakeholder communication
End to end project execution and building reports/dashboards from scratch

Education Qualification & Certifications (optional)
RequiredMinimumQualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering, Statistics, Economics or any other Quantitative discipline
Skill Set Required
Primary Skills (must have)
Wrangling data using complex SQLs and data extraction processes using data tools like SQL Assistant,DBeaveretcacross databases inGCP, Hadoop
Proficiency in doing data transformations & creating reports using MS Excel
Working with large data sets & generating actionable insights
Demonstrated experience working cross-functionally and with global partners
Experience withotherMicrosoft Office tools (e.g., Word, PowerPoint)
Secondary Skills (desired)
1-2yearexperience in Retail category analytics working directly with merchants
Experience with business intelligence and reporting tools (e.g.,PowerBI, MicroStrategy, Tableau etc.)
Experience working withBigdata & data transformation tools such as Python, SAS, Retc
