Job Description

As a Senior Analyst on the Market Intelligence team at Canadian Tire Corporation, you will play a critical role in shaping and executing competitive intelligence and pricing strategies across multiple banners. You will work collaboratively with cross‑functional partners to translate competitive pricing data into actionable insights that inform pricing decisions at both national and regional levels.

This role is ideal for a strong data analyst or analytics‑leaning candidate who enjoys working with complex datasets, building analytical workflows, and translating data into insights that directly inform pricing and executive decision‑making. Your insights will directly support pricing strategy, executive decision‑making, and the continued evolution of Market Intelligence as a more data‑driven, insight‑led capability.

What you'll do:


Key Responsibilities

Advanced Pricing & Competitive Analysis

  • Own advanced analysis of competitive pricing data across banners, supporting national and regional initiatives, includingcompetitivepricing behaviour, dispersion, and positioning

  • Design and execute structured, repeatable analytical approaches that move beyond adhoc reporting to support scalable insight generation

  • Build and enhance analytical workflows(ex. KNIME-based workflows)to support ongoing pricing analysis, monitoring, and insight delivery, evolving processes from manual to more automated and standardized where appropriate

  • Translate complex competitive pricing datasets into clear, actionable insights that inform pricing strategy, regional decisions, and leadership discussions

  • Support the readiness, structure, and usability of competitive pricing data to ensure it is fit for downstream analytics, reporting, and decisionmaking

Reporting, Dashboards & Insight Communication

  • Design, build, and maintain standardized reports and interactive dashboards (ex.Power BI) to monitor competitive pricing, trends, and performance across initiatives

  • Develop reporting that clearly communicates insights, key drivers, and exceptions to crossfunctional teams and leadership

  • Ensure all reporting and insights are delivered with appropriate context, assumptions, definitions, and implications to support informed decisionmaking

  • Support executivelevel materials by embedding analytical depth, clear visuals, and concise narratives into competitive pricing updates and presentations

CrossFunctional Collaboration

  • Collaborate closely with Pricing Strategy, Regional Pricing, and Merchandisingteamsto support and expand Market Intelligence initiatives

  • Partner with stakeholders to understand analytical needs and translate business questions into wellstructured, actionable analyses

Data Quality, Logic & Governance

  • Act as a senior contributor to ensuring competitive data accuracy, consistency, and analytical integrity.

  • Partner closely with internal teams and external vendor to investigate data issues, define business logic, and resolve data quality challenges.

  • Proactively identify data gaps or risks and recommend improvements to strengthen analysis and outputs.

What You Bring:

  • 5+ years of experience in analytics, pricing, market intelligence, business intelligence, or a related analytical role, preferably within retail, pricing, or a datadriven business environment

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related quantitative or analytical discipline

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and data analytics tools such as KNIME and BI tools such as Power BI, ThoughtSpot, and/or SQL, with experience working with large, complex datasets from multiple sources

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at various levels within the organizationand externally with dealers.

  • Demonstrated leadership skills to provide thought leadership, influence stakeholders, cultivate relationships with key stakeholders of varied levels, representing a broad range of functions.

  • Proven experience in strategizing and developing strategies for new initiatives.

  • Ability to workindependently and take initiativein a fast-paced business environment with rapidly changing priorities

  • Highly organized and detail-oriented; able tomanage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.

Broadband Salary Range: $64,000 – 106,000.
Our typical hiring range is between $64,000 and $85,000. Salary decisions are also dependent on other factors such as your experience, industry benchmarks, internal equity and other role-specific requirements. For critical roles, the compensation offering will be reviewed to ensure alignment with market rate and conditions and the unique value you bring to the role.
