Job Title: Senior Analyst – ESG : Impact & Private Equity
Function: Asset Management

Overall Job Purpose
This role offers an opportunity to support the Impact Management and ESG agenda within the Impact & Private Equity team, by contributing to impact assessments, ESG due diligence, sustainability data collection, validation, and management, regulatory disclosures, and ongoing monitoring of investments. The role will help ensure the availability, quality, and consistency of ESG and impact data used for investment decision-making, internal oversight and external reporting.
The ideal candidate will have up to 2-3 years of experience related field. Exposure to ESG analytics and understanding of sustainability and impact measurement.
Accountabilities/Responsibilities
Primary Responsibilities:
To work collaboratively with colleagues and take personal accountability to maintain and enhance controls responsible for to support improvement of the overall control environment, customers outcomes and a reduction in M&G plc's operational risk.
Support investment Private Equity, and Real Assets teams on ESG and impact-related analysis during investment due diligence, ensuring consistent application of sustainability and impact frameworks
Assist in the collection, verification, analysis, and management of ESG and impact data from investee companies and internal sources, working closely with different teams and stakeholders throughout the process, ensuring data quality and auditability.
Support preparation of product-level and investment-level sustainability and impact reporting, including regulatory disclosures, annual impact reports and internal dashboards.
Contribute to ongoing monitoring activities, including annual impact reviews, sustainable investment assessments and tracking of key ESG and impact KPIs.
Respond to internal stakeholder queries related to ESG data, sustainability metrics and impact performance.
Assist with ad-hoc projects related to ESG data improvement initiatives, regulatory developments, data gaps analysis and process enhancements across private markets
Key Stakeholder Management
Internal: Work with Assistant Vice President and Mumbai Impact and Private Equity team in Mumbai to ensure delivery of right and required outcomes
External Work with Impact Director and Impact and Private Equity Team on various existing and new investment opportunities
Knowledge, Skills, Experience & Educational Qualification
Up to 2-3 years of relevant experience, preferably within financial services, asset management, consulting, sustainability, ESG research or data-related roles
Exposure to ESG data, sustainability metrics or impact measurement, ideally within private markets or a broader financial services context
Familiarity with regulatory or disclosure frameworks such as SFDR, EU Taxonomy, UK SDR and/or ESG data standards would be highly beneficial
Strong analytical skills with the ability to work with quantitative and qualitative ESG/sustainability data • Strong communication skills (both verbal and written)
Ability to work well autonomously and as part of a broader team • Ability to manage and organise large datasets and varied reporting requirements
Educational Qualification:
Post-graduation/ MBA (Finance) OR progress towards or completion of CFA Level 1 or above OR an equivalent degree from a reputed institute
Any ESG, sustainability, or impact investing-related certification would be an added advantage
