Purpose
Contributes to the overall success of Global Insurance Finance in Colombia ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the Global Insurance business strategies and objectives. Ensure all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.
Develops and maintains various monthly / quarterly reports to assist in understanding the Global insurance financial results. The position will focus on International Insurance operations.
Accountabilities
Financial Reporting
Preparer of the monthly / quarterly operating results analysis performed for the International Insurance operations. This includes updating and maintaining various reporting tools used to understand, summarize, and present insurance results – both financial & non-financial.
• Responsibilities include performing deep dives on country results, coordinating the analysis with local country finance functions, identifying root causes for variances, and tracking management actions for resolving / mitigating these root causes.
Responsibilities also include generating accurate, complementing, and concise commentary on identified variances, completing ad-hoc reports.
Update and maintain templates to capture planning and forecasting details to understand local country results and help assess performance against strategy.
• Responsibilities include implementing specific reporting tools to monitor the performance of projects resulting from expected growth in the business line.
Assist with updating and maintaining the integrity of the Bank’s general ledger used by Global Insurance Finance for reporting purposes.
• Responsibilities include testing and analysis for updates to the ledger accounts, account roll-up structures, and systems reports for those changes made in the Bank's ledger that impact Global Insurance operations.
Finance Advice & Counsel
Provide ongoing support / financial insights for development activities (i.e., products, business lines, and distribution channels).
• Activities involve monitoring actual performance of business case submissions from the line area.
Other
Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF risk and conduct risk, including but not limited to responsibilities under the Operational Risk Management Framework, Regulatory Compliance Risk Management Framework, AML/ATF Global Handbook and the Guidelines for Business Conduct.

Education / Experience / Other Information
Education:
An accounting designation or working towards an accounting designation is an asset.
Work Experience:
The individual will require 5 – 10 years’ progressive experience in the field of reporting for a financial institution, preferably within the life insurance industry.
Working Conditions
The incumbent works in a standard office-based environment requiring normal sensory attention. The business environment is fast-paced, complex and demanding. Deadlines are set well in advance for both external and internal financial reporting with very limited flexibility for change. Non-standard hours are a common occurrence. Limited travel internationally (Canada) may be necessary.
