Job Description

Your Role

Perform complex transactional and rule base activities pertaining to Fixed Asset accounting, GL accounting, reconciliation and closing activities in accordance with accounting standards, service levels, company policies, procedures and controls.

Support in the preparation and review consolidated financial reports in a timely and accurate manner in accordance with policies and procedures on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis or as otherwise required

Responsibilities

Fixed Asset Accounting

  • Manage asset accounting master data
  • Manage asset period end processing and reporting

General Ledger

  • Perform more complex transactional and rule base activities within agreed timelines
  • Responsible for data quality monitoring, transactional and rule base data quality assurance, conduct peer check on data accuracy
  • Respond to queries for resolving any issues during the transaction handling and explaining the procedures and control requirements according to SOP

Reporting

  • Review financial statements, reconciliations, and notes to accounts
  • Prepare analytic reports and/or accounting schedules, review for irregularities, develop investigation and corrective action plans
  • Support Retained Finance in preparation of data/information/schedules/notes required for statutory audit, internal audit, IFRS audit.

Others

  • Adhere to service levels, internal controls, company policies and procedures
  • Identify repetitive issues or risks and propose on improvement opportunities for increased efficiency
  • Support execution of projects
  • Resolve any identified operational issues and escalate to supervisor where necessary
  • Involves in SAP User Acceptance Test (UAT) and support in enhancement project; takes part in continuous process improvements
  • Any other ad hoc task assigned by supervisor

Your Profile

Job Requirements

Education :

Degree in relevant field (Commerce, Finance, Accounting)

Experience :

Minimum 2 years of working experience

Industry or shared services experience is an added advantage

Skills Requirements

  • Strong team player
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Excel, is a must
  • Experience in using SAP system, especially Asset Module and GL Module, is added advantage
  • Good verbal and written communication skills in English. Proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia and Chinese is a plus.
