
Sr Analyst - FP&A Investment Planning
Reporting to: Director, Investment Planning
Location: Orange, CT

The base salary range for this position is dependent upon experience and location, ranging from: $87,500 to $109,500 plus up to 16% bonus
The position supports the Avangrid Networks Investment Planning for United Illuminating. This includes the planning processes that creates, manages, prioritizes, and reports on the plan for time periods as needed by the organization. This position also assists in: monitoring financial project approvals, ensuring capital expenditure is in-line with regulatory requirements and corporate goals, and measuring and explaining variances to plan. This role contributes to the development and fostering of a continuous learning and process improvement culture. The ideal candidate is an agile thinker, problem solver, team player, and enjoys taking on new challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
Support Capital Investment Planning for Avangrid Networks companies located in CT, including forecast development, investment portfolio decisions, variance analysis, and internal and external reporting.
Assist in development of monthly governance package including: rate base tracking, identifying potential risks, and incorporating new portfolio metrics
Help define core business reporting procedures to ensure timely and effective reporting
Support process improvement initiatives by analyzing business functions, gathering info, and evaluating system capabilities.
Monitor the control aspects of Avangrid Networks Electric capital investments in CT, ensuring proper and timely project approvals are in place, management of portfolio targets, and tracking results.
Support regulatory reporting and inquiries on Avangrid Networks capital investments in CT. This includes but is not limited to variance analysis, annual plan reporting, and management audit and rate case proceedings.
Work with teammates in the investment planning group and other business areas to gather, manipulate, analyze, and provide reporting of project investment data and perform variance analyses.
Develop and maintain effective lines of communication with Avangrid Networks business area leaders, directors and managers to ensure proper reflection of project forecasts to ensure proper reporting and achievement of strategic and operational goals.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in finance, business or related field
5 years of experience in finance, accounting, project management, engineering or related field.
Advanced analytical, Excel and PowerPoint skills
Candidates should have broad experience leveraging their analytical expertise in various business situations and feel comfortable working with peers.
