General Summary:
The Senior Analyst, Finance and Accountingis responsible forend-to-end financial accounting, reporting, and analysis for complex,high-volumereal estate portfolios. This role provides full-cycle ownership acrossall aspects of general ledger accounting,financialreportingand analysis, cash management, budgetingandforecastingand transaction support
Theprimary focus of this role will beonthe Oxfordresort andurban hotels portfolio, working alongside ourhoteloperators such as Fairmont,Intercontinental HotelsGroupand Hyatt Group.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
General Ledger Accounting
Responsible for all aspects of general ledger accounting,includingpreparation ofjournal entries, bank reconciliations, commodity tax remittances,timelyandaccuraterecording of monthly results obtained from service providers, applying consistent accounting standards (IFRS or GAAP as applicable),and month end close activities
Responsible for financial reporting for corporate structures including preparation ofstep memos andsolvency analysis
Prepare corporate/management reporting entries such as statutory adjustments, contras, ensure intercompany eliminations, and clear integrities
FinancialReporting andAnalysis
Month-end review and reporting including key indicatorsand variance analysis against budgetand forecast, equity, investment and intercompany account reconciliations, cashmanagement, andgeneral and administrative expense analysis
Preparemonthlyfinancial packages, year-end auditpackagesandact as a key liaisonwith auditors
Analyze cash flows and manage contributions/distributionsacross the portfolio
Prepare various ad-hocfinancialreports and analysis as requested bymanagement, asset management, and external partners
Budgeting,Forecasting, and Portfolio Support
Prepare,reviewand analyze annual operating plans and quarterly reforecastsin collaboration with asset management teams andthird partymanagers
Assistwith the execution of portfolio strategies by interpretingassetand sector level performance,andidentifyingkey drivers of results and assessingrisks and opportunities
Special Projects,Process Innovations and Controls
Participate in special projects with a focus on continuous improvement, automation, scalability, and operational efficiency
Ensure compliance withinternal policies,controlsand governance requirements
Positively contribute to people, culture, and knowledge-sharing initiatives with the finance team
Qualifications:
University degreein Commerce, Business or Accounting orrelated field
CPA designation completed or in progress
Minimum 3-5 yearsof progressiveexperience in real estate accounting, financial reporting,auditor financial analysis
Experience working with complex legal structures and consolidations is considered an asset

Working knowledge of PowerPointfor preparation for financial and analytical presentations
This posting is for an existing vacancy.The expected salary range for this position is $72,000.00 - $108,000.00 per year.
