Human Resources Services (HRS) is an internal function providing global operations and business support across Brookfield’s lines of business.
Responsibilities
Equity Compensation Administration
Lead the administration of global equity compensation plans, ensuring the accurate and timely execution of transactions in compliance with plan rules and regulatory requirements.
Serve as subject matter expert for various components of plan administration, supporting internal stakeholders and/or plan participants.
Manage and optimize equity administration platforms, including Shareworks and related vendor systems, ensuring data integrity, operational efficiency and service excellence.
Oversee the preparation, validation, and reconciliation of recurring and ad hoc equity compensation reports.
Partner with Payroll, Tax, Finance, and external advisors to ensure accurate multi-jurisdictional tax withholding and reporting.
Lead audit, compliance, and control activities, ensuring adherence to internal policies and regulatory requirements.
Develop and deliver participant communications, educational materials, and training resources related to equity compensation programs.
Perform analyses supporting payroll validation, accounting treatment, financial disclosures, and executive compensation reporting.
Monitor legislative, regulatory, and market developments impacting equity compensation programs and recommend appropriate actions.
Process Improvement & Governance
Identify and implement process improvements, automation opportunities, and best practices across equity administration and related compensation activities.
Develop, document, and maintain process guides, controls, and governance frameworks.
Participate in special projects, acquisitions, integrations, and compensation-related initiatives as required.
Mentor and provide guidance to junior team members and support knowledge sharing across the broader team.
Qualifications & Requirements
4–7+ years of progressive experience in equity compensation, compensation, HR operations, payroll, finance, or related fields.
Strong knowledge of equity compensation plans, including stock options, restricted stock, deferred share units, and related taxation and regulatory requirements in Canada and the United States.
Experience administering equity compensation programs using Shareworks (Morgan Stanley at Work) or a similar equity administration platform
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, Power Query, lookups, data modeling, and complex analytical functions.
Experience utilizing business intelligence and data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret large datasets and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
Experience supporting audits, compliance activities, and financial reporting processes is considered an asset.
University degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
CECP, CCP, CEP, or related professional designation is considered an asset.

Salary Range: C$100,000 - $115,000
