Device Management is responsible for maintaining and improving the coverage, efficacy, and performance of security agents across Mattel’s global enterprise. This role plays a vital part in ensuring that all enterprise devices remain both secure and operationally efficient. The position requires strong technical expertise in enterprise device management, systems engineering, and endpoint performance optimization. The engineer will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to enforce security standards, automate operations, and enhance endpoint protection strategies.
Roles and Responsibilities
Ensure consistent deployment, health, and coverage of security agents across all managed endpoints.
Monitor and optimize agent performance, resource utilization, and update compliance to maintain endpoint reliability and efficiency.
Collaborate with IT, Infrastructure, and Security Operations teams to enforce device standards, configurations, and policy compliance.
Conduct coverage and gap analysis for security tools to identify missing or degraded agents and coordinate timely remediation efforts.
Automate deployment, configuration, and reporting processes for security agents using scripting and orchestration tools.
Partner with Security Engineering peers to ensure integration and interoperability between EDR, ITP, and other endpoint protection solutions.
Develop and maintain dashboards, metrics, and reporting mechanisms that measure endpoint coverage, agent efficacy, and system health.
Maintain and update documentation, standards, and playbooks for device management operations and security tool maintenance.
Evaluate and test new endpoint management technologies, automation capabilities, and security policies to strengthen the device security posture.
Skills and Qualifications
Required:
6+ years of experience in endpoint management, systems engineering, or endpoint security operations within a large enterprise environment.
Hands-on experience managing device management platforms such as Microsoft Intune, Workspace ONE, JAMF, or SCCM.
Strong understanding of endpoint architectures, including Windows, macOS, and Linux operating systems.
Experience ensuring comprehensive security tool coverage and compliance across distributed enterprise endpoints.
Familiarity with endpoint performance monitoring, log collection, and remote troubleshooting methodologies.
Experience with mobile device management (MDM) platforms and understanding of mobile ecosystems (iOS and Android).
Excellent analytical and communication skills, with the ability to partner effectively across global technical teams.
Endpoint management platforms (e.g., Microsoft Intune, SCCM, Workspace ONE, JAMF).
Security agent deployment, configuration, and health monitoring.
Scripting and automation (PowerShell, Python, or equivalent).
System patching, compliance, and policy enforcement tools.
Performance monitoring and endpoint telemetry analysis.
Familiarity with EDR, ITP, and endpoint protection technologies.
Dashboard creation and metrics reporting for agent coverage and performance.
Strong understanding of Windows, macOS, and Linux management principles.
Strong problem-solving and analytical mindset.
Preferred:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Prior experience supporting large-scale, globally distributed device management or endpoint engineering environments
Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Endpoint Administrator, JAMF Certified/Administrator, ISC2 CC, GIAC GSEC, and CompTIA Security+ (or equivalent industry certifications).
Clear and proactive communicator, highly organized and adaptable, with a focus on operational excellence, collaboration, and continuous innovation.
Shift Timing:
05:00–14:00 PST (18:30–03:30 IST), Monday through Friday, with emergency on-call duties as needed.
