Job Description

The Senior Analyst Corporate Credit Risk will take responsibility for analyzing, reviewing, and recommending cases/requests presented from the Corporate Banking Group (CBG) Team, in line with the bank's strategy and Central Bank requirements.

  • Assess, review, and recommend credit proposals for new facilities as well as renewals of existing facilities.
  • Perform proactive ongoing credit monitoring and risk management at both client and portfolio levels in cooperation with the Corporate Risk Approver/Head of Corporate Credit Risk.
  • Assist the Corporate Credit Risk team in managing and analyzing the CBG credit portfolio, including industry and single-obligor/group concentrations.
  • Ensure approvals comply with Central Bank of Egypt regulations and the bank's policies and procedures.
  • Monitor past dues/TODs of the corporate portfolio and timely escalate accounts that may move to classified status.
  • Stay updated on market and regulatory issues affecting credit decisions.
  • Identify problem lending situations early and recommend corrective actions to minimize losses and maximize recoveries.
  • Recommend provisions when required.
  • Perform risk assessments, analyze current risks, and identify potential risks affecting the company.
  • Ensure appropriate credit risk ratings are assigned and communicated to the Business Team.
  • Act as secretary to Riskco and other assigned credit committees.
  • University graduate.
  • Excellent spoken and written English.
  • 7+ years of experience, primarily in Credit Risk Management.
  • Good knowledge of SME banking, loan documentation, banking operations, accounting, treasury and capital market products, local banking laws, and legal aspects of corporate lending.
  • Strong awareness of the Egyptian market and Central Bank regulations.
  • Thorough understanding of bank policies, credit parameters, and regulations.
  • Knowledge of the country's political and business environment.
  • Comfortable with technology.
  • Good people management skills.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Proactive with a strong team-player mindset and willingness to implement change.
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation, leadership, communication, and PC skills.
