Raytheon has an opening for a Senior Analyst, Contracts supporting the Advanced Hypersonic Weapons Portfolio within Raytheon’s Advanced Technology Strategic Business Unit, which focuses on key pursuits as well as development efforts that serve as the growth engine and front end of the business, critical to the future growth of Raytheon. Raytheon is working on the forefront of technology, advancing industry knowledge and capabilities to meet and overcome the challenges of hypersonic flight, and accelerating development of hypersonic weapons using state-of-the art expertise and investment in new infrastructure, people, and technology. Fielding these weapons is vital to our national security.

Within the Advanced Hypersonic Weapons Portfolio, Air-Breathing Hypersonic Weapon development is a key focus for Raytheon and a national priority. The Senior Analyst, Contracts will support development programs such the Hypersonic Airbreathing Weapon Concept and Hypersonic Attack Cruise Missile targeted for transition to production. This highly competitive total system development area requires quick turn proposal responses, robust Intellectual Property strategies, and novel contracting approaches. This position offers the candidate a broad opportunity to engage with program leadership and coordinate peers in service of several programs of strategic importance to Raytheon.

This is an onsite position located in Tucson, AZ and offering relocation assistance.

What You Will Do

  • Become highly proficient in contract management/administration actions on proposals and contracts across the acquisition life cycle.
  • Investigate and resolve contractual matters by critically thinking, gathering detailed information, and proactively collaborating with relevant stakeholders.
  • Work independently, yet recognize matters that require leadership review and buy-in.
  • Coordinate and manage customer responses to ensure timely and effective communication.
  • Negotiate contracts to secure favorable terms and conditions to ensure scope is confined.
  • Support program management and execution reviews to monitor progress and performance.
  • Influence others through the explanation of facts, policies and practices
  • Multi-task routine and complex contract and proposal activities while responding to unplanned quick response requirements as they emerge.
  • Interface with customers regarding correspondence, contractual changes and contractual issues.
  • Draft complex letters that communicate Raytheon’s business position effectively.
  • Advising management of contractual rights and obligations and possible mitigation of contractual/program risks.
  • Work closely with program teams within a matrix environment of program management, engineering, finance, operations, supply chain, and quality functional lead.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field
  • Experience with one or more of the following: Contracts Administration, Subcontracts, Procurement, Acquisitions, and /or Finance
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government–issued security clearance is required, and candidates must be eligible to begin the clearance process immediately upon hire. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Active Top Secret clearance a plus
  • Contractual acumen with proficiency in contracts fundamentals with knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS)
  • Experience with proposals and contract administration of U.S. Government sustainment contracts and Direct Commercial Sale sustainment contracts including Firm Fixed Price (FFP), Cost Plus Fixed Fee (CPFF) contract types
  • Professional presence complemented by excellent written and verbal communication skills to partner and influence others effectively
  • Excellent time management and organizational to prioritize tasks while delivering timely, high-quality products
  • Sound judgment with strategic mindset and proactiveness to address issues to resolution
  • Ability to effectively partner with cross-functional internal and external stakeholders, including customers and leadership teams

The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
