Job Description

The Senior Analyst, Commercial Analytics will play a pivotal role in driving data-driven decision-making across the Breast & Skeletal Health Solutions Division. This individual will partner closely with the Senior Manager of Commercial Analytics to deliver actionable insights that optimize sales strategies, enhance customer engagement, and improve overall business performance. In addition to broad commercial analytics responsibilities, this role will own pricing and IDN/GPO contract compliance analytics as a core area of focus. The ideal candidate is an analytically rigorous, detail-oriented problem solver with strong technical skills, intellectual curiosity, and a deep interest in the healthcare and medical sales industry.

Key Responsibilities

Analytics Execution

  • Execute against the commercial analytics strategy to support business objectives and drive revenue growth.
  • Serve as an analytical thought partner to the Senior Manager and broader Sales Operations leadership, providing insights that inform strategic decision-making.
  • Develop advanced analytics models to identify opportunities, risks, and trends in sales performance, market dynamics, and customer behavior.

Data Strategy & Reporting

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to define key performance indicators (KPIs) and build dashboards that track sales performance, market share, and territory effectiveness.
  • Own the creation and maintenance of regular and ad hoc reports, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and clarity.
  • Drive the adoption of advanced data visualization tools to present insights in a clear and impactful manner, including supporting the transition from Qlik to Power BI.

Sales Enablement

  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to develop data-driven strategies for targeting high-value customers and optimizing account coverage.
  • Provide analytics support for sales forecasting, territory alignment, and incentive compensation plans.
  • Analyze the effectiveness of promotional activities, sales campaigns, and product launches, providing recommendations for improvement.

Pricing & IDN/GPO Contract Compliance Analytics

  • Analyze pricing performance across products, customers, and channels to identify margin erosion, pricing leakage, and opportunities for price realization.
  • Build and maintain price waterfall, net-price, and discount analyses to support quarterly business reviews and pricing decisions.
  • Model the financial impact of proposed pricing changes, deal-specific discounts, and promotional programs in partnership with sales and contracting teams.
  • Monitor and report on IDN and GPO contract performance, including tier qualification, volume commitments, market share thresholds, and rebate eligibility.
  • Conduct ongoing compliance analysis to identify under-performing accounts, off-contract purchases, and member roster discrepancies, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Support contract renewal and negotiation cycles by providing historical performance analytics, scenario modeling, and ROI assessments for IDN/GPO agreements.
  • Partner with Contracts, Finance, and Sales Operations to investigate and resolve contract pricing discrepancies, disputes, and audit findings.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with IT and data engineering teams to ensure data integrity, accessibility, and security across analytics platforms.
  • Collaborate with finance, marketing, and product teams to align analytics efforts with broader organizational goals.
  • Act as a liaison between the analytics team and external stakeholders, including vendors and consultants, as needed.
  • Routinely deliver critical insights and recommendations to all stakeholders based on a deep understanding of the business processes and drivers.

Qualifications

  • Strong expertise in analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, Qlik, Oracle, SQL, Python, R) and CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce).
  • Proven ability to analyze complex datasets and translate findings into actionable business strategies.
  • Working knowledge of the medical sales industry, including customer segmentation, market access, and competitive dynamics.
  • Working knowledge of medical device or healthcare commercial channels, including IDNs, GPOs, distributors, and chargeback processes.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex information to non-technical audiences.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred:

  • Experience with advanced analytics techniques, such as predictive modeling, machine learning, or AI applications.
  • Familiarity with contract or revenue management systems (e.g., Model N, Vistex, Oracle, SAP) and GPO/IDN contracting concepts including tiering, admin fees, rebates, and market share commitments.
  • Familiarity with regulatory and compliance considerations in the healthcare industry.
  • Experience supporting analytics for multiple product lines or therapeutic areas.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Field of study preferred in Business, Statistics, Data Science, Economics, or a related field.
  • Advanced degree (MBA, MS) a plus.

Experience

  • 4-6 years of experience in commercial analytics, pricing analytics, contract analytics, sales operations, or a related field.
  • Prior experience supporting IDN/GPO contract compliance, chargeback analysis, or medical device pricing strongly preferred.

The annualized base salary range for this role is $97,300 to $130,000 and is bonus eligible. Final compensation packages will ultimately depend on factors including relevant experience, skillset, knowledge, geography, education, business needs, and market demand.
