Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Payment Flow Analysis: Conduct deep analysis of payment flows across various providers, methods, and markets to identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies.
  • Payment Routing & Optimization: Manage and optimize payment routing and fallback scenarios based on performance and risk analysis.
  • Provider Management: Collaborate with and monitor service providers, Payment Service Providers (PSPs), and acquirers to ensure service level agreements are met.
  • Fraud Monitoring: Monitor fraud patterns and unusual payment behaviors, implementing preventive measures and controls.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Create and maintain reporting dashboards on key payment metrics, approval rates (AR), and operational KPIs, using data to drive decisions.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance payment processes and improve operational efficiency and performance.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal product, engineering, and other teams to build new payment processes and resolve issues.
  • Risk Management: Foster an awareness of operational risks and ensure risk control measures are in place for payment activities.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Liaise with internal and external stakeholders on payment-related inquiries, requests, and transaction issues.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Operations, or related field; advanced degree a plus.
  • 5+ years in payments operations or financial services operations; experience with multi-rail processing preferred.
  • Strong understanding of settlement, reconciliation, chargebacks/disputes, and exception management
  • Proficiency with SAP systems, core banking, reconciliation tools; comfort with BI/SQL is advantageous.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, problem-solving, and communication skills; track record of process improvement.
