The Systems Analyst, Business Analytics will leverage data analytics, advanced reporting technologies, and business intelligence (BI) tools to deliver actionable insights that support operators and key decision-makers within ODW. This role will provide cross-functional analytical support across all business units, utilizing BI platforms to design, develop, and optimize reports and dashboards. Additionally, the Systems Analyst will facilitate end-user training to enhance data literacy and ensure effective utilization of reporting tools and analytics solutions.

Analyze business processes to identify optimization opportunities and recommend data-driven solutions.

  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of software-based tools, automation, and process improvements.
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance technical queries, business intelligence (BI) reports, dashboards, and data visualizations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and end-users to gather requirements, deliver insights, and support data-driven decision-making.
  • Provide ongoing support, troubleshooting, and enhancements for implemented solutions and data models.
  • Assist with ad-hoc reporting, data analysis, and insights requests across all business units.
  • Document processes and solutions with a focus on standardization and scalability.
  • Support new business initiatives by developing initial tools, reporting frameworks, and data management strategies.
  • Promote data literacy by training users on BI tools, reporting functionality, and best practices in data management.

Education & Experience

Required

  • Education Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Professional Experience 1-3 years of experience in a Systems Analyst, Business Analyst, Data Analyst, or similar role with a focus on business intelligence and data analytics.
  • Technical Proficiency
  • Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server, including SSIS, SSMS, and SSRS for data integration, management, and reporting.
  • Proficiency in designing complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and data models.
  • Hands-on experience with BI tools such as Qlik Sense SaaS, Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms for report creation and data visualization.
  • Knowledge of ETL processes, data warehousing concepts, and data governance best practices.
  • Process Improvement Demonstrated ability to identify business process gaps and lead the design and implementation of software-based automation and optimization solutions.
  • Analytical Skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot data issues and develop effective solutions.
  • Project Management Experience in managing or supporting projects, including gathering requirements, documentation, and stakeholder communication.
  • Collaboration & Communication Proven ability to work cross-functionally with technical and non-technical stakeholders, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Training & Support Experience in providing end-user training and support for business intelligence tools and data-driven solutions.

Preferred Experience

  • Familiarity with Agile or Scrum methodologies.
  • Exposure to cloud-based data platforms or services (e.g., Snowflake, Azure, AWS).
  • Experience with data automation tools and scripting languages (e.g., Power Automate, Python, R, or PowerShell).
  • Understanding of data security, compliance, and privacy best practices.

  • Technical Proficiency Advanced knowledge of SQL, BI tools (e.g., Qlik Sense SaaS, SSRS), and data integration processes (e.g., SSIS, Replication) to design, develop, and maintain reporting solutions and automation tools.
  • Business Acumen Ability to understand business processes and translate operational needs into technical requirements, fostering data-driven decision-making across the organization.
  • Communication & Collaboration Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively work with cross-functional teams, gather requirements, present insights, and provide user training.
  • Adaptability & Continuous Learning Strong ability to adapt to evolving business needs, learn new technologies quickly, and drive process improvements in dynamic environments.
