Title and Summary

Senior Analyst, Billing Operations
The Revenue Operations and Enablement department provides centralized billing for products and services billed to our customers using the MasterCard Consolidated Billing System (MCBS). Our mission is to provide core billing services, drive billing assurance, provide value added services, and enable growth as MasterCard advances commerce globally.

Partner with business owners and release manager/lead to understand new business opportunities and define the business and functional requirements. Deliver high quality business and functional requirements to the development teams for the purpose of completing the design, coding, testing, and implementation phases of the project life cycle and support our tools operationally.

ROLE:
• Serve as operational point of contact for billing application, ensuring reliable day to day support and issue resolution in coordination with technology teams.
• Identify trends, recurring issues, and operational risks; recommend and support implementation of process and product improvements.
• Provide subject matter expertise on billing application functionality, invoicing processes, and downstream impacts.
• Lead intake and vetting of enhancement requests, partnering with stakeholders to clarify business objectives, success measures, and priority.
• Translate business needs into clear, high quality requirements, including functional requirements, business rules, process flows, and acceptance criteria.
• Collaborate with technology partners to refine scope, assess feasibility, and support backlog prioritization for billing application enhancements and defect resolution.
• Validate delivered solutions against requirements to ensure business outcomes are achieved.
• Coordinate and participate in reviews, revisions, changes, enhancements, testing, documentation, and stakeholder communication related to billing application and invoicing changes.
• Provide billing domain knowledge and financial systems support for requirements development.
• Work closely with developers identifying data and functional requirements in the design of new/enhanced systems.
• Create and maintain job aids, operating procedures, user guides, and training materials related to the billing environment, applications and invoicing processes.
• Support change enablement through training sessions and knowledge transfer focused on the billing environment and systems.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
• Advanced experience supporting billing products, systems, or platforms in an operational, business analyst, or product support role.
• Demonstrated ability to lead requirements gathering and documentation for complex billing, invoicing, or financial system enhancements.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate ambiguous billing and financial business needs into clear, actionable requirements.
• Proven ability to manage multiple initiatives and priorities in a fast paced environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain billing and invoicing impacts to technical and non technical stakeholders.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and focus on data accuracy and financial outcomes.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel, including analysis of billing data and invoice outputs.
