Job Description

The Enablement Data & Insights Assistant Manager supports the management and enhancement of learning reporting and analytics solutions through data preparation, dashboard maintenance and reporting activities.

The role holder will be responsible for:

·Supporting the development and management of UK Learning’s data and insights capability.

·Assisting in the maintenance of Learning Management Information and reporting across UK Learning.

·Helping to build and update dashboards, reporting frameworks, and KPI measures that support decision-making.

·Assisting in translating learning data into meaningful insights and recommendations for stakeholders.

·Following established data governance, quality standards, and controls to ensure reporting accuracy.

·Producing regular performance reports for UK Learning leadership teams.

·Identifying trends, opportunities, and potential issues through routine data analysis.

·Supporting the development of metrics that measure learning effectiveness, engagement, and operational performance.

·Collaborating with Learning Business Partners, Product teams, and other stakeholders to understand their information requirements and support reporting solutions.

·Assisting with portfolio reporting tasks.

·Following standardised reporting approaches and KPI definitions across UK Learning.

·Assisting with regulatory, compliance, and governance reporting requirements.

·Identifying opportunities to simplify reporting processes and improve efficiency using available technology.

·Applying best practices in learning analytics and data visualisation.

·Supporting the day-to-day activities of the Enablement & Insights function.

·Flagging recurring challenges or trends (e.g., process complexity or inefficiencies) to support improvement initiatives.

·Assisting in the translation of data into actionable insights, helping to clarify the “so what” for stakeholders.

·Contributing to the implementation of process improvements and new operating approaches.

·Using standardised tools, frameworks, and processes across UK Learning.

·Demonstrating a customer-focussed, solution-oriented mindset in all support activities.

Role Dimensions

• Role will report to the Enablement Data & Insights Manager.
• The role has not direct line management responsibilities.

Essentials Skills and Experience

• Experience in data analytics, business intelligence, reporting or insight-focused roles.
• Proven experience delivering management information frameworks, dashboards and reporting solutions.
• Strong analytical capability with the ability to interpret data and identify meaningful trends, risks and opportunities.
• Experience translating data into business-focused recommendations.
• Strong stakeholder management skills.
• Experience working with multiple systems and large datasets.
• Excellent communication and storytelling skills with the ability to articulate insight to non-technical audiences.
• Strong understanding of data governance, controls and quality management.

Desirable Skills and Experience

• Experience working within Learning & Development, HR, Talent or Professional Services environments.
• Knowledge of learning analytics and evaluation methodologies.
• Experience using Power BI and other visualisation tools.
• Experience working with Learning Management Systems and learning technologies.
• Knowledge of regulatory and governance reporting requirements.
