Accounting and Reporting Expert / Senior Analyst

As an Accounting and Reporting Expert I, you will support key accounting and reporting activities across ING's global operations. You will play an important role in delivering accurate financial information, supporting reporting obligations, maintaining strong controls, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and ING reporting requirements.

You will collaborate with stakeholders across multiple locations while contributing to process improvements that enhance efficiency and reporting quality.

About the Team

Global Finance Services (GFS) is responsible for the centralized processing and reporting of accounting events related to Financial Markets, Treasury, Lending, and Payments Services across ING Bank. The team operates globally, with colleagues based in Amsterdam and Manila, supporting a wide range of finance and reporting activities.

As part of a growing international team, you'll gain exposure to complex banking operations, global stakeholders, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Skills

• Experience in financial, management, or regulatory reporting activities
• Knowledge of general ledger accounting and financial close processes
• Experience performing account reconciliations, including intercompany and cash reconciliations
• Ability to prepare financial reports, management information, and reporting dashboards
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Ability to investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies and reporting issues
• Experience working with policies, controls, and compliance requirements
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet reporting deadlines
• Continuous improvement mindset with an interest in enhancing processes and controls

What You'll Do

• Execute product and general ledger accounting activities
• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes
• Prepare financial, regulatory, and management reports
• Perform intercompany and cash reconciliation activities
• Manage invoices, accruals, and asset management accounting activities
• Investigate accounting breaks and provide accounting advice
• Maintain compliance with accounting standards and ING reporting frameworks
• Support reporting projects, process improvements, and business initiatives
• Partner with stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of accounting and reporting requirements
