The Underwriting Analytics team in Business Area Industrial is looking for a Senior Analyst with strong experience in Property insurance for large customers. In this role, you will contribute immediately while also helping to further shape and strengthen our analytics capabilities within Property and across other lines of business.
About the role
As a Senior Analyst in Underwriting Analytics, you will work in a business‑critical role supporting underwriting decisions for some of our largest and most complex corporate clients. You will combine advanced analytics with business insight to improve portfolio understanding, profitability analysis, and risk assessment, particularly within Property.
You will act as a senior sparring partner to underwriters and stakeholders, take ownership of complex analyses, and help define and develop analytical frameworks and tools used across the organisation.
Key responsibilities include:
Leading and developing analytical capabilities within Property underwriting for large corporate and industrial clients
Supporting underwriting teams with in‑depth analysis of portfolio performance, profitability drivers, trends, and emerging risks
Developing, improving, and communicating analytical tools and decision support for both existing and emerging risks
Providing a holistic view of client risk profiles and portfolio profitability
Acting as an in‑depth quantitative sparring partner for underwriters and Heads of Line of Business
Contributing to cross‑LoB analytics and supporting the overall development of the Underwriting Analytics team
Coaching and supporting less experienced analysts and helping raise analytical standards across the team
This role offers significant exposure to senior stakeholders and complex client cases, as well as the opportunity to influence how analytics is used in underwriting for large industrial risks.

You will join an experienced and highly motivated Underwriting Analytics team supporting Business Area Industrial. The team works across Property, Casualty, Cargo and Employee Benefits, and collaborates closely with underwriters and management on the largest and most complex client portfolios.

Required background and skills
Strong experience in analytics related to Property underwriting for large corporate / industrial clients
Solid understanding of insurance financials, pricing principles, and portfolio profitability
Proven ability to structure complex data and translate analysis into clear, actionable insights
Experience acting as a senior analytical sparring partner to business stakeholders
Strong communication skills and the ability to present complex findings in a clear and pedagogical way
Additional skills and experience that are valued:
Advanced skills in tools such as SQL, Excel, Python, R, Power BI or similar
Experience working with complex or imperfect data structures
Ability and willingness to mentor and support less experienced colleagues
Innovative mindset with interest in new analytical approaches and technology
The working language is English. Knowledge of a Nordic language is considered a merit.
