General description of the job
The Senior AML Administrator – Transfer Agency is responsible for maintaining the shareholder list and on-boarding, and reviews for all assigned transfer agency tasks.
Responsibilities:
Overseeing day to day activities in line with internal and external SLA timeframes - pro-active
escalation to Assistant Vice President/ Vice President of any potential noncompliance matters.
Identifying gaps in controls and processes and putting process improvement suggestions forward in a professional manner.
Coordinating new client on-boarding in partnership with Assistant Vice President and with Integration Team.
Conducting client relationship management for clients and Reporting Managers.
Ensuring that all assigned reporting is prepared, reviewed and released accurately and in a timely manner.
Assisting in preparing board reports and attending/ dialing into board meetings, if needed.
Assisting with preparation of new operational procedures.
Ensuring adherence to all policies & procedures and local laws and regulations.
Working as part of a larger global team in the case of out sourced activities.
Helping with the training of the junior staff.
Checking of all aspects of operations and controls, including setting up investors, processing
trades, and distributions, sending reporting, performing Anti-Money Laundering (AML) checks, FATCA/ CRS reviews and making wire payments.
Checker duties – performing review of the work done by the junior staff, if needed.
Being initial point of contact for internal and external stakeholders.
Reviewing, understanding and discussing fund governing documents with staff and clients.
Daily oversight of time card completion and data quality.
Investigates and identifies root causes of errors while suggesting solutions.
Contributing to a positive working environment.
Adhere to the Company standard procedures and controls.
Reports to Assistant Vice President – Transfer Agency.
Any other duty which is instructed directly by the managing directors in accordance with Article 6.2 of the employment agreement.
Communication:
AML Administrator – Transfer Agency works in direct contact with members of Apex Fund Services Transfer Agency staff and customers under the supervision of the Management and Managing Directors.
Experience and Knowledge:
University degree in Economics.
3+ years of experience in financial (investor) services.
Proficiency in English.
Very good computer literacy.
Experience in legal office is an advantage.
AML / FATCA / CRS knowledge is advantage.
Basic knowledge of accounting, finance, hedge investment concepts
Attention to detail.
The ability to work to tight deadlines
Good interpersonal skills to develop working relationships with colleagues, clients, other
divisions/ offices of the bank and professional intermediaries.
