The Position

The Senior Alternative Models Program Management Manager is responsible for organizing and supporting the execution of specific strategic initiatives within the broader framework established by the Director of Program Management. This role is responsible for creating, managing, and executing project timelines and action plans for prioritized strategic initiatives. It also involves developing management tools and reporting templates, ensuring all initiatives are tracked and aligned with strategic objectives to enhance operational efficiency and facilitate effective collaboration across teams. Lastly, by supporting the facilitation of collaborations among teams and stakeholders, the Senior Program Management Manager supports the coordination necessary to design, launch, and scale our most critical initiatives.

Relationships

Reports to the Director of Alternative Models. Engages regularly with colleagues across Market Access and Public Affairs, as well as with internal stakeholders from Marketing & Patient Solutions, Executive Office / USO Strategy, Legal, Finance, and other relevant departments. Additionally, interacts closely with Alternative Model colleagues to ensure alignment and cohesive execution of initiatives

Essential Functions

  • Responsible for managing project timelines for specific strategic initiatives, ensuring all deliverables are met according to the established schedule
  • Monitor project deliverables closely, using project management tools to provide regular updates on progress to stakeholders
  • Proactively identify operational risks associated with project execution and develop strategies to address challenges before they impact timelines
  • Oversee the structured submission process for project proposals, ensuring clarity and consistency in documentation for efficient evaluation
  • Review incoming project proposals to assess their alignment with organizational strategy and objectives, evaluating feasibility and resource requirements
  • Collaborate with relevant stakeholders across departments to gather input and feedback on project proposals, facilitating prioritization discussions
  • Implement criteria for prioritizing projects based on strategic impact, urgency, and resource availability to ensure alignment with the overall project portfolio
  • Oversee the structured submission process for project proposals, ensuring clarity and consistency in documentation
  • Review incoming project proposals to assess alignment with organizational strategy and objectives, as well as feasibility and resource requirements
  • Engage with relevant stakeholders from various departments to gather input and feedback on project proposals and facilitate discussions for prioritization
  • Monitor intake metrics and trends, generating reports to provide insights to leadership on project proposal volume, approval rates, and resource allocation needs
  • Regularly review and refine the project intake process to enhance efficiency, minimize bottlenecks, and improve the quality of project submissions
  • Support the execution of strategic initiatives by coordinating activities and ensuring alignment with overall organizational objectives related to account management

Physical Requirements

10-15% overnight travel required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Life Sciences, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred
  • A minimum of six (6) of experience in project management, project intake, or related roles, preferably within the healthcare or pharmaceutical sectors. An advanced degree may be substituted for 2 years of experience
  • Strong skills in managing processes and workflows, with proven ability to streamline project intake procedures
  • Excellent analytical skills to assess project proposals and make informed prioritization decisions
  • Ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels and facilitate collaboration across teams
  • Ability to work alongside account managers to support relationship building and ensure alignment with overall strategic goals
  • A keen eye for detail to ensure high-quality project proposal submissions and assessments
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing responsibilities and evolving dynamics within the industry, reflecting a proactive approach to challenges and opportunities

The base compensation range for this position is $153,000 to $267,000. Base compensation is determined based on a number of factors. This position is also eligible for a company bonus based on individual and company performance. Novo Nordisk offers long-term incentive compensation and or company vehicles depending on the position's level or other company factors.
