Your purpose at Kertos

As an AI Software Engineer at Kertos – the European Champion for Compliance Automation – you’ll play a key role in shaping how AI is embedded into our platform and product experience.

We turn compliance from a yearly fire drill into a continuous, low-friction product experience – and AI is at the heart of that transformation.

You’ll build AI-powered product features that help companies generate documentation, automate workflows, and interact intelligently with compliance systems. Working in a cross-functional squad, you’ll ship improvements weekly, shape product decisions, and directly influence how applied AI is used in modern compliance across Europe.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Build AI-powered compliance experiences: Develop features that generate policies, automate documentation, and assist users through intelligent workflows.
• Work on applied AI, not research: Integrate and orchestrate LLMs into real product use cases that deliver immediate value to customers.
  Make automation feel intelligent and reliable: Improve how our AI assistant and generative systems behave, ensuring accuracy, usability, and trust.
• Own the process: Drive features from concept to delivery, shaping both technical implementation and product outcomes.
• Continuously improve what you build Iterate on existing systems, refine outputs, and enhance performance over time.
• Shape engineering excellence: Contribute to improving developer experience, system quality, and delivery speed.

The skills, motivation, and mentality you should bring

• Proven track record as a Software Engineer (backend or fullstack)
• Strong experience with Python
• Experience building production-grade systems and APIs
• Interest in AI and applied LLM use cases (hands-on experience is a plus)
• Strong problem-solving skills, ownership mindset, and a passion for building impactful products
• Comfortable working in environments with evolving requirements and imperfect information
• Proactive mindset: you don’t just deliver tasks, you improve systems
