Team: Huawei Finland Research Center, Hardware and System Lab
We are looking for a Senior AI Engineer specializing in finite element method (FEM) and structural simulation to join our Hardware and System Lab in Helsinki.
In this role, you will combine engineering simulation, scientific computing, and artificial intelligence to develop next-generation simulation technologies. You will work closely with structural simulation engineers to improve modeling efficiency, accelerate complex simulations, and build intelligent tools for engineering analysis.
Contract Type and Work Arrangement: This is a full-time, permanent employee position based on-site at our Helsinki office.
Our Helsinki Hardware and System Lab works on advanced hardware research and engineering challenges. In this role, you will apply AI to structural simulation and help develop faster and more effective methods for engineering analysis.
The work combines mechanics, materials, numerical simulation, and machine learning. You will work closely with simulation engineers and other technical experts to develop new methods, build prototypes, and test their value in real engineering use cases.
The team includes researchers and engineers from different technical and cultural backgrounds. We encourage open technical discussion, knowledge sharing, and collaboration with universities, research institutes, and industry partners.
