Design and ship LLM-powered features end-to-end, from prompt architecture to production monitoring
Build and maintain agentic pipelines: orchestration, tool use, parallelisation, failure handling
Define evaluation methodology: metrics, experiments, thresholds for shipping, and ensure high-quality AI implementation
Identify product opportunities in the technical layer and scope them without waiting to be asked
Make pragmatic decisions across model providers based on cost, latency, and capability tradeoffs
Write code that your teammates depend on
Hands-on experience shipping LLM-powered features to real users: prompt engineering, output parsing, evaluation, cost and latency tradeoffs
Experience designing and operating agentic pipelines: orchestration, tool use, parallelisation, failure handling
Strong backend fundamentals in Node.js, TypeScript, PostgreSQL and event-driven systems
Ability to optimise LLM-powered features for cost and performance
Comfortable operating in ambiguity: you scope your own work, run experiments, and know when something is good enough to ship
Clear communication with non-technical stakeholders
