Job Description

As a Designer on the TikTok Effect team, you will play a key role in the creative design and development of social games, effect-based shooting experiences, and the Effect House toolchain within TikTok’s core ecosystem.

We are looking for an expert who is passionate about pushing creative boundaries and can use AI tools to turn imaginative ideas into highly engaging and interactive short-form video effects. You will drive global users to shoot, publish, and remix content through innovative gamified concepts.

Responsibilities

- Creative Direction and Gamified Packaging: Focus on the TikTok platform ecosystem and integrate game concepts into effect design. Independently lead the creative planning and visual packaging of multiplayer interaction, light casual games, short-form engaging experiences, and fun interactive effects to improve user shooting and remix rates.

- Advanced AI Toolchain and Full-Stack Workflow Expertise： Deeply integrate leading large language models and full-stack productivity tools, including Claude, Cursor, Gemini, ChatGPT, as well as creative generation and coding platforms such as Codex and Jimeng, into daily design and development workflows.

- Engineering Design Capabilities into AI Skills： Demonstrate strong AI-collaboration thinking. Beyond using AI tools, you can extract and transform your visual design standards, interaction logic, and aesthetic judgment into reusable AI Skills, Custom GPTs, and Workflow Agents, enabling a more scalable and systematic design workflow.

- Visual Quality and Aesthetic Judgment: Maintain a high standard of visual quality, aesthetic judgment, and trend awareness. Own complete project portfolios across multiple design systems, and independently deliver visual direction, UI design, and demo presentations at a high level based on creative goals.

- Business Impact: Deeply participate in and support the iteration of gamified features across TikTok social games, effect shooting scenarios, and the Effect House tool platform, helping create the next generation of viral effects.

- Cross-Functional Design Exploration: Stay flexible and learn quickly. Actively contribute to other design explorations within the team and apply broad design capabilities to support diverse projects.
