**ACTIVE TS/SCI SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIRED**

Our work depends on a TS/SCI level cleared Senior AI Developer joining our team to support our Intelligence customer in Springfield, VA.

What you get to do every day:

  • Integrate multiple data streams into customer system
  • Complete Cloud platform migrations (between currently existing and available platforms)
  • Develop AI features for existing Ontology-based software applications
  • Create sustainable software applications – work is estimated accurately, branching strategies are efficient, code repos are maintained, etc.
  • Work as a member of a agile scrum team and participates in regular agile ceremonies applying scrum methodologies – daily stand up, planning, sprint reviews, demos, retrospectives
  • Implement requirements from the product backlog
  • Assist in writing backlog requirements/user stories
  • Utilize a modern DevSecOps approach in building software applications
  • Develop and modify applications, software, services, utilities, interfaces, and IT systems that support systems and analysts

Required skills:

  • 8+ years of experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, computer engineering, systems engineering, or any related field/major, or 3 additional years of experience in information technology.
  • Senior-level software development experience designing, developing, and maintaining secure, scalable, and mission-focused applications
  • Strong programming experience with Pyton, Java, and Scala
  • Experience developing and integrating RESTful APIs, Git-based workflows, automated unit/integration/system testing, CI/CD pipelines, and modern software delivery practices
  • Hands-on experience with Docker/containerization, microservice architectures, Helm, and development container environments
  • Experience developing applications using Generative AI technologies, including Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), Large Language Models (LLMs) and LLM-enabled workflows
  • Experience designing, deploying, and supporting cloud-native applications using AWS, Openshift, or Kubernetes
  • Experience integrating, transforming, and managing data from multiple sources, organizations, and network environments
  • Experience deploying applications into new or complex network environments
  • Experience applying DevSecOps principles, such as code hardening, dependency/package updates, vulnerability remediation, and automated security scanning
  • Ability to troubleshoot software and collaborate across development, infrastructure, security and mission teams

Desired:

  • Familiarity with data normalization, transformation, and visualization techniques
  • Familiarity with graph-based data models, data relationships, and advanced data structures
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments
  • Experience developing and presenting technical metrics, status reports, and project updates to internal leadership and external customers
  • Demonstrated ability and willingness to mentor junior developers and contribute to team engineering practices

  • Compensation is unique to each candidate and relative to the skills and experience they bring to the position. The salary range for this position is typically $175-$185k. This does not guarantee a specific salary as compensation is based upon multiple factors such as education, experience, certifications, and other requirements, and may fall outside of the above-stated range.

We leverage D2 Consulting engineering, operations and governance best practices to efficiently and effectively deploy, maintain and continuously improve IT services and solutions. This includes not only engineering solutions such as VDI and providing direct support to operations but also deploying the tools to instrument and maintain Enterprise performance and availability (including ITSM and Enterprise Management Tools).

Protect & Secure: This is our cyber security practice, which includes functions like audit and information assurance, as well as the traditional mechanics of securing IT systems and services. We have experience working with the Government to better manage risk to help move the accreditation process along. This is especially true with respect to adapting accreditation controls to a cloud environment.

Cloud Migration and Data Center modernization/consolidation: This area is focused on cloud migration and adoption as well as data center consolidation. We work to ensure that infrastructure requirements are implemented correctly, according to best practices and in a timely manner.
