The Agile Procurement Team (APT) holds the unique responsibility of coaching and leading negotiations across the organization.

We are looking for a full-time permanent position in APAC region.

Job Purpose: As a Negotiation Expert within our Procurement team, you will be at the forefront of implementing best procurement initiatives. Your focus will be on infusing innovative negotiation strategies into the organization, ensuring that we deliver high-impact projects that align with our business objectives, cost parameters, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute project management plans for Procurement Focus Plus projects, ensuring they meet quality, timeline, and budget requirements.
  • Lead and mentor project teams, providing direction and oversight to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Monitor project progress, track milestones, and manage budgets to ensure adherence to project plans.
  • Identify operational challenges and implement solutions to minimize project delays and risks.
  • Drive innovative negotiation designs and strategies that leverage best practices, including game theory, to optimize outcomes in sourcing and procurement.
  • Support strategic sourcing by conducting supply market research and intelligence to inform business decisions and budget planning.
  • Develop and manage strategic supplier relationships, identifying opportunities for cost reduction while ensuring quality and supply reliability.
  • Act as a liaison between stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and alignment throughout project lifecycles.
  • Train and coach colleagues on advanced negotiation techniques and best practices, contributing to the development of negotiation success stories within DHL.

Your Profile:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in procurement or sales, with a focus on negotiation.
  • Demonstrated expertise in negotiation, with the ability to articulate best practices and theoretical knowledge in real-world applications.
  • Proven experience in managing large-scale projects, including at least three significant sourcing initiatives.
  • Strong analytical skills with a track record of interpreting and utilizing data to drive decisions.
  • Problem-solving skills with a consultative approach, prioritizing business needs to identify and implement effective solutions.
  • Familiarity with procurement systems, tools, and a digital mindset.
  • Proven experience applying game theory and other advanced negotiation techniques in sourcing and tender design.
  • Fluent in English.
